The Pride Parade on June 7th in downtown Buffalo is one of the 3 collaborative opportunities that the Amherst Churches, with the coordination of the pastors, will participate in together this summer. A message from pastor Daven Oskvig:
Grace and peace. For the past several years, Christ Church has sought to stand in solidarity and support with the LBGTQIA+ community. One particular way has been in support of Buffalo’s Annual Pride Parade. This year’s Pride Parade is happening June 7, 2026.
This year’s theme is:
Rooted in joy. Rooted in history. Rooted in resistance. Rooted in Pride.
All United Methodist faith communities of the Niagara Frontier are invited to take part in the parade. We are encouraging all to bring banners, signs, flags to help spread the message of love and support of United Methodist faith communities and to promote a singular, powerful, clear message that fits the moment trying to win the ‘Period’ award at the parade. We have set that message as:
All means ALL - God’s love is inclusive.
