Crittenden Baptist Association Church Activities as of December 15, 2022
• Williamstown Baptist Church is seeking a part-time Ministry Communication Assistant. Responsibilities will include supporting the church office with such functions as communications, record keeping, social media and other general office tasks. • Dry Ridge Baptist Church is seeking a youth pastor. This is a paid part time position. If interested, you can submit a resume to Dry Ridge Baptist Church, 19 Broadway, PO Box 14 Dry Ridge, KY 41035 and mark it for the personnel committee.
• Sherman Baptist Church is seeking a part time youth pastor. This will be a paid position. You can contact Pastor Andrew Lane at 859-468-5541 for more information or submit your resume to [email protected].
• Broken Chains Cowboy Church invites you to Kentucky Cowtown Arena for an afternoon of Holiday Cheer on Saturday, December 17. Hot chocolate, fresh popcorn, $5 pony rides, Santa will read the Christmas story and other fun activities. Activities run from noon until 2 pm with Santa present from 2-3 pm.
• Jimmie Dooley will be bringing the music at New Friendship Baptist Church on Sunday morning, January 1, 2023.
• The association will hold a Sexual Abuse Awareness Training on Saturday, January 7. The training will be from 9:00 am – 1:30 pm. I plan to hold this event at the association office but will move it to a larger venue if needed. This is critical training that was offered by the KBC. I will stream their program for our training. This event is for pastors and other church leaders. Contact me to register.
• The next executive board meeting is on Monday, January 9, 2023!
• We will begin classes for the Spring semester at the office on Thursday, January 12. The class will cover the Cooperative Program and The Baptist Faith and Message. These classes are for anyone desiring to know more about the Cooperative Program and Baptist Beliefs. Call Richard for more information, to register or to order a book. This class is not for credit but for personal enrichment.
• August 8 is the next KBC day for pastors at the ARK. Move info as the time draws nearer.
• The next annual meeting of the Crittenden Baptist Association is Saturday, August 12, 2023.
• The Gospel to Every Home is an initiative to have every home in Kentucky visited by a Southern Baptist Church in 2021. Many of the Crittenden Baptist Association churches have already visited the homes in their community, and many are in the process. Contact me for more information and for free materials to share!
• Please be in prayer for four of our association churches seeking pastors: Mason Baptist Church, Riverview Baptist Church, Unity Baptist Church, and Marcus Baptist Church.
• Wilmington Baptist Church has 2 upright pianos that they would like to donate to a church or family who would use them. They will require a mover and a tuner, but they are free otherwise. You can contact Jerry Spegal at 859-620-8876 if interested.
• East Bend Baptist Church is the source for tracts from the Fellowship Tract League. There is a variety of tracts available at no cost. You can go to the Fellowship Tract League at www.fellowshiptractleague.org to view the tracts that are available. You can order tracts from the website.
