🌼 The Gospel According to a Dandelion 🌼
“Consider how the wild flowers grow…” — Luke 12:27
It’s easy to overlook a dandelion. Most people see it as a w**d—something to get rid of. It shows up uninvited, grows in the wrong places, and refuses to go away.
But look a little closer…
Dandelions bloom early—often one of the first flowers in spring—bringing color when everything else still looks lifeless. They provide one of the first food sources for bees, offering nectar and pollen when little else is available. 🐝
They grow in hard places—sidewalk cracks, dry soil, and compacted ground. Their deep roots actually break up tough soil and pull nutrients closer to the surface, helping other plants grow later on.
They give more than they take. Every part of the plant has purpose—feeding insects, supporting wildlife, and even being useful for people in teas and salads.
And those white puffballs? Each seed is designed to travel on the wind, spreading life farther than you’d expect.
And yet, they’re still called w**ds… just because they’re growing somewhere unexpected.
Sometimes we feel the same way—out of place, overlooked, or stuck in less-than-ideal circumstances. But God doesn’t see w**ds—He sees purpose.
You don’t have to wait for perfect conditions to grow. God can use you right where you are to bring life, hope, and beauty to others. 🌱
We challenge you this week to consider all the w**ds in your personal lives. Is it really a w**d or is it an opportunity? Will it nourish you and spread life? Are the roots breaking up difficult or compacted areas?
✨ Bloom where you’re planted this week.
