🚨 WELL… THIS IS AWKWARD. 😂

Apparently, we may have gotten a 'little' ahead of ourselves with Pastor Matt & Pastor Karla’s anniversary celebration today.

In our defense… Pastor Matt made a sweet anniversary-ish post, we saw 44 years, got excited, and the Mount Hope social media department went to WORK. 😂

Turns out we were celebrating the anniversary of when their story began - not their actual wedding anniversary.

So to everyone who already wished them a Happy Anniversary… thank you for joining us in being confidently early. 😂❤️

Today we get to celebrate 44 years of marriage, ministry, faith, family, and doing life together.

Through all the seasons, you have continued to walk side by side - loving God, loving each other, loving people, and faithfully serving the Kingdom together.

Thank you for showing us that a strong marriage isn’t about a perfect story, but about continuing to choose love, grace, faith, and one another through every chapter.

44 years. One incredible story. And still choosing each other. ❤️

Have you ever wondered about communion?

Maybe you’ve invited Jesus into your heart, but you’ve never taken communion before.

Maybe you’ve wondered what it means, whether you can participate, or even how to do it.

Last Sunday, Pastor Karla led our church family in communion - remembering together the sacrifice Jesus made for us.

Today, we want to invite "you" to join us.

If you have received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, grab a cracker or small piece of bread and some juice, press play, and take communion alongside Pastor Karla and our church family.

You don’t have to know all the “church things.” Communion is simply a time to pause, remember Jesus, and thank Him for what He did for us on the cross.

“Do this in remembrance of me.” - Luke 22:19

So grab what you have, find a quiet place, and join us. ❤️

🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PASTOR MATT!🎉

Today we get to celebrate our pastor, teacher, encourager, joke-teller (although some of us are still waiting for those Sunday morning jokes to make their comeback 😂), and someone who loves Jesus and loves people BIG.

Pastor Matt, thank you for faithfully preaching the Word, challenging us to be "doers and not just hearers", reminding us that "God loves us, has our best interest at heart, and is way smarter than we are", and always pointing people back to Jesus.

We are grateful for your leadership, your heart for people, and the way you continue to remind us what really matters.

Church is more than a place we go. It’s a community we belong to. ❤️

Pastor Karla reminded us that God never intended for us to walk this life alone. We were created for community to encourage one another, pray for one another, grow together, and remind each other of who we are in Christ.

When we are "rooted and established in love", something happens. We become stronger together. We learn to love like Jesus. We begin to understand that every person has a place and every person matters.

That’s what church is.

Not just a building.
Not just a Sunday morning.
It’s people doing life together, rooted in the love of Christ.

There’s room in this community for you. ❤️

❤️ YOU MATTER TO THE CHURCH.

Pastor Karla shared such an important reminder about the power of community and why every person matters in the local church.

Church is more than a place we go on Sunday. It’s a family. It’s a community of people God brings together - each with different gifts, different stories, and a different part to play.

You matter. Your presence matters. Your gifts matter.

When one person is missing, something is missing.

We need people who will show up for one another, pray for one another, encourage one another, serve together, grow together and remind each other that we were never meant to walk this journey of faith alone.

There is a place for you.
There are people who need you.
And there are people you need, too.
