After 170 years of our little country church never having a lock on the doors, last weekend we had to put locks on our doors. Jim and I found a person that had been in the church from 10 AM - midnight on Fri ( per his pwn confession) and had come back in at 10 AM and was planning on staying again until midnight on Sat. He was in a very manic state and kept saying he was trying to save the children from the devil and the serpent and that we couldn't ask him to leave because he lived there. Fortunately our minister, Jeffrey Wilson was on speaker phone with me and called the Sheriff's office. He was arrested for public intoxication and did 48 hours in the County jail. Jeff put locks on our doors purchased by Jeanne Gyetvay Burnet and gifted to our church. We can't thank them enough.
Please continued prayers for Jim and Boo Bratton, Bethany Clover Green , the Byrd Cain family after the death of Byrd last week and prayers for PastorJeff's son going through some hard times and decisions.

The church yard is more covered than what we had hoped for, so please be careful tomorrow. Jim and I have salted the sidewalks and steps and will go back to work on getting those cleared. The grass is a combination of crunchy walkable ice and areas of slick ice.. choose your path well and wear functional versus fashionable shoes

Yes, Old Man Winter is still around but the church will be warm for services with our Pastor Jeffrey Wilson . Sunday School at 9:15 and service at 10. Join us if you're able and be safe

In preparation of the incoming snow/ ice event, we will not be having church services on Sun, 1/25. The good Lord can hear you from the safety of your homes.
Please be safe, stay as warm as possible and stay off of the roads unless it's absolutely necessary
Looking forward to seeing everyone after this ice age leaves
