Please pray for one or two more summer missionaries to complete our summer team. We need high school or college age or those who have a free summer and feel called by God to minister to children in Lycoming County.

We are thankful for the teams who are teaching Good News Clubs at the following schools. CURTIN, JACKSON, COCHRAN, LYTER, AVIS, JERSEY SHORE, MYERS, ASHKAR and we have someone interested in starting a club at FARRELL! Please pray for these clubs. Pray that many children will choose to trust Jesus as their Savior! Also please pray that Montgomery School District will be willing to allow us to have a club at the elementary school in Montgomery.

This year the visual that went with the Christmas story unfolded into a cross. A new little boy in club raised his hand and said "It's the T." I asked, "The T?" He said, "Yes, the T that He died on." He did not know the word "cross." I replied, "Yes, It's the cross where Jesus died." I went on to share the gospel with the children. I would say that 90% of the children in the Good News Clubs here in Lycoming County know nothing about the Bible and are soaking up God's Word like sponges. So many children and so little time. Pray the Lord of the harvest to send forth more workers to teach After School Good News Clubs.

So far $ 325. has been raised for Child Evangelism Fellowship. Thank you! Today I had the opportunity to teach 36 children about how God used Gidion, an ordinary man, to rescue the Israelites from their enemies. The children had several great questions about prayer.

We are having more of a challenging time this year finding volunteers to help us with our chicken BBQ fundraiser for Child Evangelism Fellowship because several other events are happening in our area at the same time. I've never had to post it on facebook, but if anyone can help, we will be selling, grilling and serving BBQ chicken skewers and making and selling deep fried oreos. This will be at the Fall Festival in Montoursville, Friday, September 20 from 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm and Saturday, September 21 from 10:00 am - 9:00 pm. Whatever time anyone can give will be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!
