As the month of May ends, there is much happening, not the least of which is our regular service on Sunday, May 31st. We will feature an engaging program called "The Science of Mind and Its Principles" in which we will gain insight into the Science of Mind® teaching. One of our members is an ordained minister with the Science of Mind philosophy and will share the similarities and differences between Science of Mind and Unitarian Universalism. We will get to know some of its key features and why this teaching appeals to many. Refreshments follow the service.

Sunday, May 24th is our regular service at 10:45 am. Bill will lead us in the annual Flower Ceremony, for which he asks that each person bring a flower--wild or cultivated. Don't worry if you cannot come up with one; we can share. Refreshments follow the service.

We look forward to warm weather and to warm community. This Sunday, our program is called "People and Their Consciences." We will discuss how and why World War II ended. Refreshments follow the service.

We will hold a regular service this Sunday, May 10th, at 10:45 am. It's a day to recognize mothers and all nurturers. In nurturing ourselves, we can look forward to a program called "The Extended Mind" as we discuss Rupert Sheldrake's beliefs and spiritual practices.

Refreshments follow the service.

Please join us this Sunday at 10:45 AM for our regular service. We are pleased to welcome the Executive Director of Thrive International Programs, as our guest speaker.

In keeping with our Unitarian Universalist principles—particularly the inherent worth and dignity of every person—we will hear a presentation on the theme, "We Are All Neighbors."

Refreshments follow the service.

Spring is finally here!

I am writing to invite you to our service this Sunday, April 19th, at 10:45 AM. We will discuss a compelling topic titled, "What Does My Church Feel Like: Quakers to Catholics?" Refreshments follow the service.

I look forward to seeing you there.

Aware of how much we need each other and our community, I look forward to our Sundays together. Our sixth UU principle, "The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all," connects well to Sunday's program, "Bishop Barber's Political Spirituality."

You may know the Rev. William J. Barber II as the leader of the Poor People's Campaign and Moral Mondays. Until 2023, he also pastored a Disciples of Christ church in Goldsboro, NC—a denomination we are familiar with through our host church's affiliation.

Refreshments follow the service.

03/25/2026

I hope your week has been a manageable one. On Sunday, we will gather as usual in community. Knowing that we are not alone, we will discuss "Giving Up Is Not an Option." Refreshments follow the service.

03/19/2026

We look forward to sharing special time together again this Sunday, March 22nd, at 10:45 am. We will focus on Women's History, an important topic. Our treble voices matter. Refreshments follow the service.

03/12/2026

Many of us have enjoyed Spring's hopeful tease this week, and we will gather in warm connection this Sunday, March 15th, at 10:45 am. Our service that day will feature a program about "Fear." Refreshments follow the service.

03/04/2026

On this coming Sunday, March 8, we will meet as usual at 10:45 am for our UU service and the time we enjoy together as a community. Our program is about Near Death Experiences. Refreshments follow the service. I look forward to being together with everyone, and I trust you do as well.

This is the week when we need to remember the old adage, "Spring forward, fall back." Daylight Saving Time begins early Sunday morning, so before going to bed Saturday night, we move our clocks forward by one hour to be on time Sunday morning.
