1 Chronicles 16:11 ; Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.
Thought of the day :: Many of us have given up our favorite thing for lent. Whether it’s a calming glass of wine , a pack of chocolates , some form of technology , or any of the commodities you take for granted daily that you’ve chosen to give away; we are without our favorite item for a short time. I’ve noticed quite a few around me fall for the temptations we’ve surrendered, and go to what we’ve CHOSEN to give away. How easy do we have it and yet we still fall. So a friendly reminder today for when you find yourself longing for that glass of wine, for that full meal of meat, for that box of chocolates, for whatever it is you’re craving; remember this time is for him. Seek him ! And his strength will provide . When you start thinking of the things you gave turn instead to the thoughts of endurance, the endurance the lord had, and the endurance he placed within each of us as we are made in his vision. We are strong , we are stronger with faith , and be that much more proud that we were able to grow our faith in such an easy way as choosing what we lose.
