The Holy Spirit moved in such a powerful way at YM tonight.
Our high school teens set out on a trail around campus, walking through the three years of Jesus’ ministry. In small groups, they stopped at nine different stations, reflecting together before gathering back in the church commons for the final one.
The last station focused on the Eucharist. The worship band had been practicing for Mass beforehand and, without planning it, they paused their music right as the teens began listening. When the speaker finished, the music started again and the lyrics filled the room:
“By Your body and blood,
by Your life and Your love; renew us.
May Your sacrifice be forgiveness in me;
heal us.”
It was completely unplanned, yet perfectly timed.
Just as at the Transfiguration, when God declared, “This is my beloved Son,” it felt like the Holy Spirit was speaking to our teens tonight, reminding us that we are healed through the Body and Blood of Christ. ✨
