Being part of a church is about more than just showing up on Sunday. It’s about living out our faith together, serving others, and being the hands and feet of Jesus throughout our community.

This Sunday, we sent a team to the University of the Cumberlands to connect with students on their first Sunday back, meet new people, and invite them to be part of what God is doing at New Life. We believe church isn’t just something we attend—it’s something we live.

We also had the opportunity to celebrate our Dream Team volunteers! 🎉 These incredible people faithfully serve week after week to make ministry happen, create welcoming environments, and help people take their next step with Jesus.

To our Dream Team: THANK YOU! Your faithfulness, sacrifice, and willingness to serve make a difference every single week. ❤️

Happy Birthday Church of God 🎂 ✝️

Wednesday, August 19, 2026, the Church of God celebrated its 140th birthday. This day marks the anniversary of a small group of people responding to the call of a twenty-nine-year-old preacher by the name of R.G. Spurling. In a mill house along Barney Creek in Monroe County, Tennessee, they formed a congregation called “Christian Union,” which is considered to be the birth of the Church of God.
