Pastors Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

Not one of us knows if we will be alive 2 seconds from right now.

Ecclesiastes reminds us: “death is the destiny of everyone; the living should take this to heart.”

Job also reminds us: “A person’s days are determined; You have decreed the number of his months and have set limits he cannot exceed.”

May we never take each day for granted.
Help us Lord to focus on our destination and the commission You assigned us, rather than wasting each day focused just on this life that will be over before we know it.

May we remember the poem of C. T. Studd: “Only one life,’ twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last.

In Jesus name, amen

Pastors Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for giving us the gift of salvation so that we will not be here when You return to earth that final time.

In Revelation it clearly spells out what the end of time here on earth will be like…
“The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants what must soon take place. “Look, He is coming with the clouds,” and “every eye will see Him, and all peoples on earth will mourn because of Him.”

We, Your children, who know You as personal Savior, can rest assured that we will not be here when this event takes place, but, those who will still be here at that time will mourn because their time of salvation has expired.

So, we pray today for those who still do not know You as their personal Savior.
May they get right with You before it is too late.

In Jesus name, amen

Pastors Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

You are very clear that we all have a choice to either obey Your Word, or disobey Your Word.

Deuteronomy 11 records You words to obey: “See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse— the blessing if you obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today; the curse if you disobey the commands of the Lord your God and turn from the way that I command you today by following other gods”

Your instructions are not placed on our lives to be a restriction, but rather a protection against the evil things that will harm us.

Help us each day to obey Your careful instructions that You lay out for us so that we can live a blessed life rather than a cured life.

In Jesus name, amen

Why are you cast down, O my soul?
And why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God;
For I shall yet praise Him,
The help of my countenance and my God.
Psalm 42:11
May God Bless your day

Pastors Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

As we begin this brand new week, we come into Your house first this morning. We know that You bless those who put You first, who set aside everything else to worship and serve You first. Exodus 34: 21 tells us that “we have 6 days to do our work and everything else, but the first day of the week is to be dedicated to You.” Help us to remember that when we don’t honor You, You don’t honor us, and the more we honor and serve You, the closer you draw
to us.

In Jesus name, amen

Pastors Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

Help us to remember to not go after the artificial fillers that this world offers us, but rather go after the only real substance that brings fulfillment.

John records Your Words in 6: 35 “Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to Me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in Me will never be thirsty.”

We pray for those who continue to search for fulfillment in the things of this world, but remain hungry, empty, and unfulfilled.

May they too come to You and experience the endless blessing of a cup that constantly runneth over, and an endless “all we can eat” buffet at Your table.

In Jesus name, amen
