Pastors Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

Help us to exemplify You in our daily walk and work.
Our friends, family members, co-workers, and bosses should be seeing blessings by being connected to us.

Genesis 39 tells us: “Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned. From the time he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, the Lord blessed the household of the Egyptian because of Joseph”

May we keeps this in mind as we go about our day to day tasks. Help us to remember that those around us are watching to see if we are really living our lives as examples of You.

Pastors Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

May we continually be helping one another when Satan attempts to draw one of us into his deceitful trap of a hardened heart, or unbelief.

Hebrews 3 says: “ Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.”

We will stand together as brothers and sisters in Your family against the evil that surrounds us.

Pastors Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

We see too often today, people who walk away from You and lose their faith, simply because they have placed their faith in other sinful humans. Or they leave Your place of worship because they see other imperfect people there.

Jeremiah 17 reminds us: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord. But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord”

Help us to remember the reason we come into Your place of worship. It’s not so that we can surround ourselves with perfect people, but we are there to honor You.

Hebrews 12 reminds us “let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith”

Help us to focus on the perfecter of our faith, not those who are flawed humans just like we are.
