As part of Bruton’s year-long recognition of our 350th Anniversary of the church’s founding, we invite parishioners and our Friends of Bruton to perform Random Acts of Kindness and tell us about them. We will post a giant heart in the Parish House displaying at least 350 examples of selfless concern for the welfare of others. Selfless acts are consistent with our Christian values. We invite you to share in this project by telling us your Random Act of Kindness. Just tell us what your act was, approximately when you performed it, where you performed it (i.e., Williamsburg, Cleveland, the UK), and if you wish, your name. Please email it to [email protected]

🌟The Mission & Outreach Committee is pleased to announce that the recipient of the first Transforming Our Community Grant is Colonial CASA!🌟

Colonial CASA’s submission, Empowering Youth Scholarship; Transforming Lives Through Extracurricular Opportunities was selected from numerous proposals submitted by community service provider organizations. They will receive a grant of $30,000 to provide scholarships to qualified individuals by increasing extracurricular engagement in diverse activities such as sports, arts, STEM programs, camps, and academic enrichment. Funding for this grant comes from proceeds of our Bruton Parish Gift Shop, Heavenly Treasures, and the Bruton Book Sale.

The Mission & Outreach Committee, as the granting arm of the church, is a responsible steward of funds, welcoming grant requests from a wide variety of organizations sharing common purpose with Bruton.
