Our OUCC Wednesday night kids crew cranked out 110 hygiene kits for the Men’s Warming Shelter last night — talk about teamwork.

They may not be the most photogenic bunch (yes, boys, I mean you), but they showed up and did the work! 🎉

Huge thanks to everyone who donated items for the kits. Your generosity made it happen.

Donations for the hygiene kits are due tomorrow, so our kids’ classes can get everything assembled!

🧼 HELP US RESTOCK HYGIENE KITS! 🧼
What is a hygiene kit? It’s a simple baggie filled with essentials like shampoo, soap or body wash, toothpaste, deodorant, a toothbrush, comb, and razor. Sample/travel sizes are perfect!

We provide these kits to our shower guests, and thanks to the incredible number of people we’ve been serving, we’re almost completely out! ❤️

With the forecast calling for extreme heat, and people showing little enthusiasm for overheating, 😅 we’re cancelling the canoe/kayak trip scheduled for this Saturday.

Tonight at 7:00 at the shelter house, we’ll gather for a prayer service for all the students and teachers who started school today—and those gearing up to begin soon.

We’ll lift up the teachers’ sanity, then celebrate with cake and ice cream 🤪
