Holy Pause and Pray Day 30: You are always enough because the Holy One always walks with you đź’›

When we try to be enough our worth is stolen from us. There is no amount of trying that can top God’s Holy Spirit within us. Let’s take a holy pause and listen to the inner knowing and partnership God invited us into. The more we listen the more we trust, the more we trust the more we learn how Beloved we are. The more we realize we are beloved the more we learn to love ourselves. The more we truly love ourselves the more we learn to see and love others. 💛

Holy Pause and Pray Day 29: In the waiting.

Today we begin the journey into Advent. A time of sitting in the discomfort of waiting and watching. A blessing for you as we enter this season of Advent.

Prepare
A Blessing for Advent

Strange how one word
will so hollow you out.
But this word
has been in the wilderness
for months.
Years.

This word is what remained
after everything else
was worn away
by sand and stone.
It is what withstood
the glaring of sun by day,
the weeping loneliness of
the moon at night.

Now it comes to you
racing out of the wild,
eyes blazing
and waving its arms,
its voice ragged with desert
but piercing and loud
as it speaks itself
again and again:

Prepare, prepare.

It may feel like
the word is leveling you,
emptying you
as it asks you
to give up
what you have known.

It is impolite
and hardly tame,
but when it falls
upon your lips
you will wonder
at the sweetness,

like honey
that finds its way
into the hunger
you had not known
was there.

Holy Pause and Pray Day 28: Get lost in Wonder.

We are so preoccupied, busy, and distracted it’s hard to allow ourselves time to get lost in the beauty and wonder around us. Today let yourself take the long way, the scenic path. Take a moment to holy pause and observe all the surrounds you. Where do you see God moving? Where do you hear God inviting you into wonder? Breathe Beloveds and take it in. 💛

Holy Pause and Pray Day 27: give yourself a break.

I pray that in this holy pause today you would give your self a moment to be kind. Be gentle with yourself. Your doing the best you can. The human experience is hard, and in the midst of the loneliest valley we are never abandoned. We are made whole by the one who never ceases to dwell and remain with us for always.

Holy Pause and pray Day 26: pause in hope.

Today is a new day! A day where many give thanks and have gratitude. It is also a day of hope. Our capacity to change and grow has been tested this year. We have shifted. We have learned. We continue to grow. In the midst of hard things hope continues to show up and remind us that n the midst of it all, we are doing the best we can and today we pray you would feel God’s life giving hope down into your bones today. 💛

Holy pause and pray Day 25: Jesus, our bridge over troubled waters.

Never does Jesus choose to look away. There is no story, or experience too disturbing or heartbreaking to cause God to look away. Instead they allow their heart to break over and over again. Sad news, disturbing stories we get to choose to set down, or turn off. And Jesus not only keeps looking. Jesus keeps walking, keeps enduring. And puts their body in the place of pain and heartache so that we know there is not a place on earth, no experience so weary or deep that Jesus would turn away. Instead Jesus continues to be the bridge to our wholeness and our freedom. Thanks be to God! đź’›

Holy Pause and Pray Day 24: The sun continues to rise.

Sometimes it feels like time continues to drag us along and yet it is a gift of grace. Another day another opportunity to love and be loved. Give yourself a moment to catch your breath and admire something beautiful today. Inhale... exhale... and although it feels like some days last forever, enjoy this moment because it will never happen again. This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Holy Pause and Pray Day 23: take a moment to just pause and have your own dance party!

Dance like no one is watching and turn up your favorite dance song. Move your body and may you experience a holy moment of freedom, joy, and laughter. Praise God with your whole body đź’›

Holy Pause and pray Day 22: Christ reigns Sunday/Christ the King Sunday

What does that even mean? So often, because of circumstance or fear we try to tape up or put together the things we hope will fit, and what if God isn’t expecting you to follow a perfect plan? What if God is sitting beside you with a blank canvas saying, “Let’s Create something beautiful together.” What of Christ the king Sunday is more about trusting that God lives and reigns in you and wants to create something beautiful together?

Today take a holy pause. Sit before a blank sheet of paper and do whatever pours out of you. It’s okay if it doesn’t look how you expected. Maybe to another eye it is more beautiful than you can even think or imagine 💛

Take a holy pause and
