Veterans Day. A day designated to honor, thank, and think about the sacrifices those in the military of made for each one of us. Today is a day we should put aside politics and division, stand in unity while supporting our American heroes. Think about where we would be if it was not for these brave men and women. Think about the freedoms we would not possess. Even though we should be thankful and mindful of our veterans every day, please take a moment today and thank these brave individuals. Land of the free, because of the brave. Veterans (and current military members), thank you for all you do. Thank you for risking your lives to fight for and protect our freedom. You are the real American heroes and we are always beyond honored to ride in tributes for you 🇺🇸

No, this horse isn't all shiny, clean and "show ready" in this picture. He actually looks the opposite. Tired, wet and worn out. The stars on his hindquarters are faded and wearing off. Let us tell you why this picture means so much to us:
Today, We rode in the Veterans Day Parade held in Willard. We have ridden in several parades in my lifetime and no parade has ever meant more to me than any other one we have ever ridden in.
There wasn't an overly huge crowd. It was a nasty, misty November day. But let us tell you. In the crowd, were several veterans and their families. They clapped, they saluted and some even personally thanked us as we rode by. We even noticed a few of them get teary eyed. For those of us who haven't served in the military, we have no idea what these American heroes have endured. They all gave some while some gave all. Most of us have absolutely no idea and forget what these brave men and women have done for each one of us.
Of course, we tried to personally thank as many as we could and really wished we could have shook each of their hands. They still had the American pride that each one of us should possess.
As we rode through the street with patriotic music blaring, small flags waving and people giving us and our horses applause, we could not help but think about the disrespect and division we see in society today. Kneeling for the national anthem, protesting and simply forgetting what respect is. It's so sad and disheartening.
However, for a few hours today, the team felt the unity our country so desperately needs. Americans came together for a parade to celebrate our veterans. They stood for the national anthem and saluted it and the military flags we carried. For a few hours, the topics and issues that divide us were put aside and the American spirit was fully present and real.
Each one of us were honored to ride behind the American flag and in front of so many people who have served and are currently serving in our military. It may not be the case of many today, but each one of us will loudly say that we are proud to be an American. We will proudly stand for our national anthem because 1) it's what we as Americans should honorably do, 2) it shows respect of the history that allowed us to gain our freedom which we all take for granted daily and 3) it shows other people around the world that we are proud, respectful and united - no matter who is currently in office in D.C or what is going on around us.
Moral of this post- thank a veteran and show love for your country. Put aside your views and thank about the sacrifices these men and women have made for each one of us. Put yourself in their shoes and think about how much it would mean to them just saying a simple thank you. Take time to reflect on how lucky we as Americans are despite the evil we see each day.
Let us stand tall. Stand united. Be ONE nation under God. Love one another. And be proud and thankful because let us tell you, we could have it much, much worse. It's time to unite and not divide. It's time to show respect and not be seen as selfish and disrespectful. It's time to act like Americans - brave, courageous, strong and UNITED 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Since it is Inauguration Day, here is a Friday post highlighting our grand ride down Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington D.C for President Bush's 2005 Inauguration Day Parade. This was such an amazing experience for us and our horses. We can never say thank you enough to our community supporters for making this trip possible. It is definitely an event we will never forget! 🇺🇸

"Land of the free, Because of the brave."
Veterans, from the bottom of our hearts, we want to say a sincere thank you for your service. Thank you for your sacrifice, courage and acts of bravery in order to protect the freedoms we often take for granted. Without you, we would not be able to do what we do. We are honored to be able to carry our precious American flag, as well as military flags in your honor. You are the true American heroes and we are forever grateful for all you have done for us. God bless each of you, and God Bless America!
Fans, we encourage each of you to take a moment and reflect. Think about all veterans have sacrificed and how they have impacted each of our lives. If you see or know a veteran, thank them! It is the least we can do. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
