Signs of Christmas

Signs of Christmas "Signs of Christmas” is a non-profit organization with a simple purpose to proclaim Christ at Christmas. We will respond with an exact cost.

Last year, the employees of Johnson Nursery displayed a Merry Christmas billboard to remind everyone of the reason for the season. It seemed as if Christ was being taken out Christmas and this was a way to reignite the spirit of Christmas. The billboard’s success from last year inspired Signs of Christmas. The mission of Signs of Christmas is to place Christ centered billboards across the nation a

nd maybe even farther… we are thinking big! The Johnson Nursery employees will once again put one on Interstate 40 in Willard, NC, but we challenge you to display one from yourself, your company, your church, or any entity that you wish. These billboards will be displayed from November 30 until December 27: four weeks to remind people that there is no Christmas without Christ. If this interests you, we, the people who operate Signs of Christmas, are here to help- we want you to succeed! The cost of putting up a billboard ranges from $500 - $3,000 depending on the location. The idea is that you will raise a large portion of the cost of your billboard and Signs of Christmas will subsidize the balance up to $1,000. If after hearing this challenge you wish to pursue this idea, and again we really hope you do, email Signs of Christmas at [email protected] with the city location and the name which you would like listed on the bottom of the billboard. All billboards are similar to the one you see on this site with the exception of the name at the bottom of the billboard (hopefully yours). If you prefer to contribute financially to the overall mission, then we greatly appreciate this as well. Your donation will be to the general fund which will support all billboards. You may do this through our site or mail a check to the address below. Five percent of all donations to the general fund will be used to offset overhead such as the website, bank fees, and office supplies. If you wish to support an already existing billboard, please list that in the “Notes” section of your payment. Our financial statements will be posted on our website. Signs of Christmas is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Your contribution is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Planned billboards will be marked with a flag on their site location. Once you click on the flag, information regarding how much money is raised and how much is needed to be raised will be visible. It will also give information about who provided the billboard.
