Hello church family! Here is this week's Bible reading plan.

Let's consider what our brother James says to believers as we engage with God's Word this week.

"Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves." (James 1:21-22)

• Lay aside filthiness and wickedness.
• Receive with meekness the implanted word.
• Live out what you receive from God's Word.

We continue our summer series, “Restoration,” this evening.

Today is the final Wednesday of the month, which means it’s time for our monthly prayer meeting.

In Nehemiah, we immediately see the importance of prayer. He was so distraught over the destruction of Jerusalem that he immediately went to the Lord in prayer.

Throughout Nehemiah, we see that he continually goes to the Lord in prayer for repentance, wisdom, courage, and praise.

Join us tonight at 6:30p and let us know how we can pray for you. Just like Nehemiah, let’s anchor ourselves to the Lord’s promises through prayer.

“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.”
‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭13‬ ‭

Sacrifice reflects Christ’s heart. Today we’re remembering those who have given the ultimate sacrifice, and we’re also reminded that hope and grief can coexist. Pray for our families affected by loss, and pray for our country.

“But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.”

Hello church family! We pray you have a blessed Memorial Day tomorrow. Let's remember the sacrifice that men and women made for us to be free and the sacrifice Jesus made for us to be free from sin and death.

Here is this week's reading plan. Think about whether this verse applies to you as you engage God's Word this week. Ps. 119:72, "The law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of coins of gold and silver."
