Lutheran Church of The Atonement Lutheran Church of the Atonement welcomes you to worship with us. Sunday School begins at 9:45am and our worship service begins at 11:00am.

Lutheran Church of the Atonement is the only Lutheran church in Wilkes County, North Carolina, population 69,000. We are affiliated with both the North American Lutheran Church (NALC) and the Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC). Located in Wilkesboro, we are in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. What we believe....
We believe in

the Triune God. We believe Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior and that the Gospel message offers salvation for all those who repent of their sins and believe. The sixty-six canonical books of the Bible as originally written were inspired of God, hence free from error. The Scriptures as the inspired Word of God, are the authority to which all doctrines must be judged. We believe the affirmations of the Creeds. We believe in one Holy, Christian and apostolic church.
