Honest prayer isn’t a one-time moment—it’s a daily discipline that keeps you spiritually awake so you don’t fall into temptation

You don’t fall away all at once…
you drift when you stop showing up.

Luke 22:45–46
Jesus finds the disciples sleeping in the moment that mattered most and says:
“Why are you sleeping? Rise and pray…”

They didn’t fall because they didn’t love Him
They fell because they weren’t diligent

DILIGENCE LOOKS LIKE:
• Staying present with God when your flesh wants comfort
• Holding on when your emotions feel heavy
• Praying before the fall, not after

Endurance kept you going
Submission aligned your heart
Strength carried you
But diligence keeps you close.

Before we dive into pt. 4 of our Sunday series, here’s a recap of last weeks:

God’s strength shows up when you stop relying on yourself and surrender your weakness to Him.

• Your strength isn’t yours — it’s given by God
The closer you get to Him, the less satisfying sin becomes.

• You won’t experience God’s strength until you lay down your own
“My grace is sufficient for you…” (2 Corinthians 12:9–10)

• Strength is staying surrendered, even when it’s hard
Jesus was in agony… and still chose to pray.

You might not get the cup taken away —
but you will be strengthened to carry it.
