‘EVERYONE THAT SHALL BE FOUND WRITTEN IN THE BOOK’ was a subject in a recent 15 min. radio program heard Fridays at 5:15 p.m. on WNVY and Saturdays at 11:15 a.m. on KCNW and 12:30 p.m. on WITK, all CDt. Stream: Type Wilkins Radio Net., select listen live and the call letters.
The subject phrase is taken from Daniel 12:1 concerning Daniel’s people the Jews, Dan. 9:24, 10:14, etc. It pertained to and predicted the time of the transition from the Old to the New Covenant 500+ years into Daniel’s future. The ’book’ referred to in Dan. 12:1 and in several other Old and New Testament verses is not a giant ledger with everyones names written in it. The book is the ‘life of Christ’ written in the minds and placed in the hearts of men: Hebrews 10:16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;”
In the Old Covenant the Jews wore phylacteries with the word of God ON their foreheads. They wore amulets ON their left arms near their hearts containing the word of God, types and shadows of the New Covenant seen in Heb. 10:16. In this New Covenant the ‘life of Christ’ is the Book that is transferred to the books, i.e. the saints. Paul wrote in 2 Cor. 3:3 that those saints were manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ and so are we His books known and read by all men.
Daniel would also write of these same books: Dan. 7:10, “A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.” The fiery stream was the prediction of the Ancient of Days coming as the Holy Spirit: Dan. 7:22 “Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.” The thousands ministering to Him in 7:10 are the saints with HIm in them, the books. The ten thousands standing before Him in the saints are the sinners. Judgment (correction, reconciliation) is given to the saints, see 1 Corinthians 6:2.
The same scenario is depicted in Revelation:11-12 with the ‘white throne’ representing the righteousness of the saints, Rev. 19:8. Since Revelation also describes the transition from the Old to the New Covenant, there was no place for the Jews remaining in the Old Covenant: Rev. 20:12 “And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.”
The dead here are not in the cemetery, but are the same dead that Paul addressed in Ephesians 2:1, “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins.” Jesus noted these same ‘dead’ in John 5:24-25. The ’books’ in Rev. 20:12 had the ‘life of Christ’ written in them. The complete explanation of Rev. Chap. 20 is too vast for thiws venue. It is certainly not that which I was once taught.
To say the least, it is good to be killed by the fire (God, Heb. 12:29), the smoke (Prayer, Rev. 8:4) and brimstone (Breath of God, Isa. 30:33) as seen in Rev. 9:18. In that verse the rest of the men which were not killed repented not of their works (Rev. 9:20). Have a blessed judgment day which is currently taking place and has been since John 16:7 predicted the same.

‘THOSE WHOSE NAMES ARE WRITTEN IN THE BOOK’ is the subject of our 15 min. radio program today at 5:15 p.m. on WNVY and Sat. at 11:15 a.m. on KCNW and 12:30 p.m. on WITK, all CDT.

Continuing with our study in the book of Daniel we read: Dan. 12:1 “And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.” The time that Michael the great prince first ‘stood up’ was 2,000 years ago.
Michael is the Sprit of God in His people for we see that Michael was Daniel’s ’prince’ in Dan. 10:21. ‘Prince throughout the Bible represents a spirit in people, good or bad. Example of a bad prince: Ephesians 2:2 ”Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:” In John 16:7-11 we see the good Spirit of God (the Comforter) coming to battle the prince (spirit) of the world. We see the same battle in the book written in symbols, Revelation 12:7. The ’angels’ in all of Revelation are God’s ministers; Rev. 1:20, 19:10, 22:9, etc. (See Strong’s definition of angels.)
The time of trouble in Dan. 12:1 was for the nation of Judah and the 7 year Great Tribulation war with the Romans (66-73 A.D.) that Jesus addressed in Matthew 24:21 & 29, Luke 19:43-44, Luke 21:2022, etc. Over a million living in Judah would die in that war.
The book of Daniel was written to his people the Jews, Dan. 9:24, 10:14 and 12:1. The ones of Daniel’s people whose names were found written in the book was only a remnant of Jews who would accept Jesus as the Messiah; Isaiah 1:9 “Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as S***m, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.” Romans 9:27 “Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:”
Despite popular opinion, the book in Daniel 12:1 is not a giant ledger to be opened and utilized in a supposed coming judgment day. The book represents the life of Christ. Is your name (nature) written in the life of Christ? Next week we will look into the book and the books that are opened in Daniel 7:10 and Revelation 20:12 and find out who the dead in 20:12 really are. I judge that you are having a good day with Michael ruling and reigning in your lives.

‘A TIME OF TROUBLE FOR DANIEL’S PEOPLE’ is the subject of this weeks 15 min. radio program heard Fridays at 5:15 p.m. on WNVY and Saturdays at 11:15 a.m. on KCNW and 12:30 p.m. on WITK, all CDT. Stream: Type Wilkins Radio Net., select listen live and the call letters.
Daniel 12:1 “And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.” Michael was Daniel’s Prince (Dan. 10:21), God’s Spirit in him as previously cited. ’Prince’ can be a good of a bad spirit in people. See Ephesians 2:2 as one of many Biblical examples.
‘The great trouble’ was for the nation of Judah, Daniel’s people, Dan. 9:24, 10:14 and our text verse. The ”great trouble” Daniel refers to throughout his book took place 2,000 years ago. It describes a period of time during the transition from the Old Covenant to the New, from the time of Jesus until about 136 A.D. In that period of time there would be 3 wars between the Romans and the Jews; 1.1 million Jews were killed in the 7 year ‘Great Tribulation’ war (66 to 73 A.D.) that Jesus addressed in Matthew 24, Luke 19:43-44, Luke 21: 20-22, etc. Jerusalem and the Temple were destroyed in the middle of that 1st war.
Many Jews who had been scattered throughout the Roman Empire after the 1st war died in the Kitos war from 115 to 117 A.D. The Bar Kokhba War (132-135 A.D.) had as many casualities as the 1st war due to starvation, pestilence and the war deaths. Jews were barred from entering Jerusalem after the 3rd war by the Romand Emperor Hadrian. He renamed Jerusalem Aelia Capitolina and Judah became Palestina.
Only a remnant of Jews had or would accept Jesus as Messiah. That remnant is seen throughout the Old and New Testaments, Isaiah 9:1, Romans 9:27-31, etc. The majority were enemies of the Cross. Paul defines these two groups of Jews in Romans chapter 11: Romans 11:28 “As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.” The ’enemy‘ was the majority of Jews. The ‘election’ in this verse was the remnant referring back to a previous verse: Romans 11:5 “Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.” This remnant election were the ones “found written in the book” in Daniel 12:1, a New Testament concept occurring in the time of the transition from the Old to the New Covenant.
THE POINT: The doom, gloom and destruction for a nation written by the prophet Daniel is not for our nation or any nation existing today. God has commissioned and empowered us with Himself to change the world by His habitation within us, see 2 Corinthians 6:16, Romans 8:19-23, 2 Thessalonians 1:10-12, etc., etc., etc. Let’s get on with His work.

‘THE BOOK OF DANIEL DESCRIBES A PERIOD OF TIME DURING THE TRANSITION TO THE NEW COVENANT FROM THE OLD’ is one subject discussed on our 15 min. radio program at 5:15 p.m. today on WNVY and Saturday at 11:15 a.m. on KCNW and 12:30 p.m. on WITK, all CDT. The book was written to his people, the Jews, Dan. 9:24, 10:14 & 12:1. Only a remnant of Daniel’s people would accept the New Covenant, Isaiah 1:9, Romans 9:27-31, Romans 11:5, Ezekiel 14:22, Zechariah 13:8-9, etc. Some of that remnant would be martyred: Dan. 11:35 “And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.” The ’time of the end’ was the end of the Jews Old Covenant, the end of their world seen throughout scripture.
Due to the martyrs in Judah the remnant would be scattered throughout the Middle East: Dan. 12:7 (A vision of the Jews’ future) “And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.” The ’time, times, and an half’ were 3 and 1/2 years after the Cross when Stephen was martyred. This was the end of Daniel’s 70 weeks (490 years, Dan. 9:24-27) of God working only with the Jews. This remnant would be scattered and begin to preach the New Covenant to the Gentiles:
Acts 8:1, 4 “And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles. Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.” Some of them that were scattered preached only to the Jews, Acts 11:19, but some preached to the Gentile Greeks: Acts 11:20 “And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.”
THE POINT: The Bible interprets the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. The ’end time event doctrines’ espoused for today and tomorrow are wrong. The ’end times’ were 2,000 years ago, the end of the Jewish Old Covenant world. We live in a New Covenant world without end, Ephesians 3:21. Let’s change the world system empowered by the One who lives within us in this New Covenant, God’s plan from the beginning.

‘THE HEAVENLY PLACES IN CHRIST JESUS’ is not the subject on this week’s radio program, but is the subject presently on my heart. God’s goal from the beginning was to make man in His image and likeness, Gen. 1:26. The first man and woman were made only in the image of God, Gen. 1:27. The word ‘image’ in this Old Testament (OT) verse means a phantom, empty and vain. The word ’image’ in the New Testament (NT) means the exact ‘icon’.
The primary difference between the Old and New Covenants is that in the New Covenant God lives in us, Emmanuel. He only came upon certain ones in the OT to perform certain deeds then He departed. God foreknew the only way man could be changed into His very ‘icon’ (image in the NT) was to get inside of him as Spirit. The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world (1 Peter 1:19-20) would cleanse man for God’s habitation, 2 Corinthians 6:16. Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin, Heb. 9:22. Thus in the OT we see all the types, shadows and prophesies of God coming in the flesh and shedding His blood for the remission of sin, Exodus 12:3-7, Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6, Isaiah chapter 53, etc.
Jesus would return to His origin (John 1:1 & 18, John 6:62-63, John 16:10, 16, 28, 1 Timothy 1:17, 1 Timothy 6:16, etc.) and become One again with God, John 17:5, Revelation 1:8, etc. We see that they are One again as Spirit on the Day of Pentecost in: John 14:20 “At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.” On the Day of Pentecost God (Emmanuel) first came to live in man and change him into His ’image’ (icon). 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” THE HEAVENLY PLACES IN CHRIST JESUS (See the difference between Christ Jesus and Jesus Christ in 2 Tim. 1:1, Eph. 1:1.) Peter wrote of the heavenly glorious places where God wants to take us in:
2 Peter 1:4-7 “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.”
Charity (unconditional love) is God Himself, thus we can be changed into His imjage and likeness. We will have escaped the world system so as to change the world system.

‘DANIEL’S PROPHESIES PERTAINED TO THE TRANSITION TIME FROM THE OLD TO THE NEW COVENANT’ is the subject of today’s 15 min radio program at 5:15 p.m. on WNVY and Saturday at 11:15 a.m. on KCNW and 12:30 p.m. on WITK, all CDT. Stream: Type Wilkins Radio Net., select listen live and the call letters.
I was taught that the disastrous destruction, doom and gloom prophesied by Daniel was for the time in which we live. By the study of natural history and Spirit led Bible study it is readily apparent that Daniel’s prophesies pertained to Daniel’s people the Jews of 2,000 years ago, Dan. 9:24, 10:14, 12:1.
There would only be a remnant of Jews who would accept the New Covenant, Isa. 1:9, Rom. 9:27-31, Rom. 11:5, etc. The majority would face the destruction that both Daniel and Jesus predicted in the scriptures; a 7 year Great Tribulation War where 1.1 million Jews were killed and Jerusalem and the Temple were destroyed on August 9, 70 A.D., 40 years, 1 generation after the Cross. These facts were never mintioned in the doctrines I was taught because it would descredit their eschatology.
In Daniel chapter 11, he primarily writes of the battles that would take place between Rome and Parthia, the kings of the north and south. These occurred before, during and after the time of Jesus from 54 B.C. to 217 A.D., the time of the transition to the New Covenant. Whoever won the battles would govern Judah, Rome would primarily control. A faction of the Jews in Jerusalem rebelled against Rome in 66 A.D. and defeated an entire legion. Nero then dispatched 4 legions against Judah resulting in the destruction previously mentioned. Jesus had forecast the war in Matt. 23:32-38, all of Matt. 24, Luke 19:43-44, Luke 21:20-22, etc., etc. By the way, the Gospel was preached in all the world, (Roman Empire, Matt. 24:14) and then the end came, Rom. 10:18, Rom. 16:26, Col. 1: 5-6 & 23, etc. The ’coming’ of the Son of man in Matt. 24:27 was His ’parousia’, the destruction of Jerusalem.
THE POINT: God’s plan was never to destroy the planet, nor will He ever allow that to occur, Isa. 45:18. God’s plan has always been that we restore the planet empowered by Him that lives within us in this New Covenant world without end, Eph. 3:21. We are the light of the world, the New Jerusalem city set on the Spiritual hill of Mount Zion. Things will continue as they are until God’s people understands and seeks a relationship not yet attained. He is waiting on us, we are not waiting on Him.

’DANIEL’S PROPHECIES OF THE END WAS THE END OF THE JEWS OLD COVENANT’: Dan. 10:14 “Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.” Dan. 12:9 “And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.”
God was going to make a New Covenant with the Jews and Israel which would include the Gentiles: Jer. 31:31 “Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:” Isaiah 42:6 ” I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;“ (Addressing the coming Jesus.)
Daniel’s 70 weeks (490 years) determined upon the Jews (Dan. 9:24) would end with the martyr of Stephen and the New Covenant would be opened to the Gentiles 3 and 1/2 years after the death oi Jesus, Acts 11:19-21. The last days, time of the end, end of the world, etc. are all addressing the end of the Old Covenant. We live in a New Covenant world without end, Ephesians 3:21.
Will Christians ever tire of hearing that the latest crisis is the end of the world? Chicken Little is finially right, the sky is really falling this time! According to the Bible the planet is here to stay because God’s plan from the beginning was to commission and empower His people to change the world system:
Isaiah 45:8 “Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it.”
The heavens in this verse are people who bring forth salvation. The heavens collectively comprise heaven, the dwelling place of God. In the New Covenant God dwells in people and has made us His temple: 2 Cor. 6:16 “And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”
God is an omnipresent Spirit, not contained in the form of one man. Jesus came out of that Spirit and returned to Spirit, John 1:1 & 14, John 6:62-63, etc. That is why the child to be born in Isa. 9:6 would be called the might God, the everlasting Father. We see Him back in the bosom of the Father in John 1:18. Right hand throughout scripture represents power, Matt. 26:64, etc. Written in red, Jesus said in Rev. 1:8, “I am the Almighty.”
God came in the flesh and shed His blood to cleans human vessels for His habitation, 1 Peter 1:19-20, Heb. 9:22. He would first empower man by His Habitation on the Day of Pentecost: John 14:20 “At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.” This was His 2nd coming as He so stated in Matthew 16:28, Matthew 10:23, Matthew 26:64, etc. He has been perpetually coming since that day. He has come, is come and shall come.
God continues with His thought for the planet in: Isa. 45:18 “For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.”
We readily adhere to the first concepts introduced into our lives by significant others. I followed the Chicken Little doctrine for many years until I wanted to know God and His plan more than my doctrines. The world system will remain the same until we change it, empowered by Him that lives within.

‘THE RECORDED APPEARANCES BY JESUS IN THE 40 DAYS AFTER RESURRECTION’: 1ST: To all the women and Mary as they leave the sepulcher, Matthew 28:8-11. 2nd: To Mary only on her second visit to the sepulcher. She thinks He is the Gardener even though having seen Him earlier and held Him by His feet.
3rd: He appears to 2 men in ANOTHER FORM after having appeared to Mary as the Gardener, Mark 16:12, Luke 24:13-32. They believe Him to be a ’stranger’ as seen in Luke 24:18, no marks of a crucifixion. He vanished right before their eyes, Luke 24:31.
4th: Appears as Jesus Himself in the evening of Resurrection Day to the 10 plus those with them, Judas and Thomas are missing, Luke 24:33-52. In Luke 24:51 He ‘ascends to heaven’ the same evening, not the same ascension 40 days later as seen in Acts 1:9. Also refer to John 20:19-24, Mark 16:19.
5th: His second visit to the disciples 8 days later after having last been seen ascending to heaven in Luke 24:51. Thomas is now present, John 20:25-29.
6th: To 7 of the disciples at the Sea of Galilee. They do not know Him even though having seen Him 2 times before in Jerusalem, Matthew 28:16-17, John 21:1-14. This is the meeting that Jesus (both before and after resurrection) and the 2 ‘angels’ at the tomb had emphasized that they see Him there, Matthew 26:32, Mark 14:28, Matthew 28:7, Matthew 28:10, Mark 16:7, Luke 24:6-7.
Why was it so important that the disciples see Him in Galilee even though they had seen Himn twice in Jerusalem? It is obvious that He was appearing in ANOTHER FORM to them also, John 21:1 “And on this wise showed He Himself”. John 21:12 “And none of the disciples durst ask Him, Who are Thou? Knowing it was the Lord.” (But not by sight.)
7th: To the disciples on the 40th day bedforfe His ascension back to the Father, Acts 1:3-11. The same Jesus that went away in Acts 1:11 was the One coming back to the men of Galilee 7 days later on the Day of Pentecost, 3 days in the tomb plus 40 equals 43 plus 7 equals 50, i.e. Pentecost, John 14:20. This is not the same Jesus that lived 33 years on the earth or the one that appeared as another man 3 times is that 40 days. He would be seen (understood) because He returned to the Father, Spirit, John 16:16, John 6:62-63.
He would be seen (understood) as Spirit, the 8th sightging, as recorded in 1 Corinthians 15:5-8. The key is that Paul never physically saw Jesus, he only heard a voice. WE CAN ALSO SEE HIM TODAY as those did in 1 Corinthians 15:5-8, Emmanuel living in us as ANOTHER FORM.

’ALEXANDER THE GREAT AS SEEN IN THE BOOK OF DANIEL’ is a subject heard Fridays on one of our 15 min. radio programs on WNVY and Saturdays at 11:15 a.m. on KCNW and 12:30 p.m. on WITK, all CDT. Stream: Type Wilkins Radio Net., select listen live and the call letters.
I was taught a lot of erroneous eschatological doctrines about the book of Daniel. For us today it is a book of history written to Daniel’s people the Jews (Dan. 9:24, 10:14) and what occurred to them until about 136 A.D. at the close of the Bar Kokhba War with the Romans.
Jerusalem and Judah were first taken captive by Babylon around 608 B.C. Daniel was among the 1st of 3 groups taken captive. About 538 B.C., 70 years later, Media and Persia defeated Babylon and took control of the Jews thus fulfilling Jeremiah’s prophecy. 200 years after that, around 332 B.C, Greece defeats the Persians, thus taking control over the Jews. We see that recorded in Daniel chapter 8 where the ‘goat’ batters the ‘ram’. Alexander the Great was the notable horn between the goat’s eyes, Dan. 8:5.
In Daniel 8:8 the great horn was broken for Alexander was mortally wounded in India fighting the natives riding on elephants. He later dies and the Greek Empire is divided into 4 smaller empires; Ptolemaic in Egypt, Seleucid in Iran, Iraq, etc., Macedonian in Greece and Asia Minor in Turkey and eastward. The Seleucid Empire, named after one of Alexander’s generals, would later become the Parthian Empire.
We also see Alexander defeat the Persians in Daniel 11:1-4 and the dividing of the Greek Empire into 4 parts. The wars and battles recorded later in Daniel chapter 11 are between the King of the North (Rome) and the King of the South (Parthia). They are primarily fighting over Albania, but whoever would win these battles would also control Judah and the Jews. One major battle between Rome and Parthia is seen in Dan. 11:11-12, the Battle of Carrhae in 53 B.C., where 43,000 Romans battled 10,000 Parthians. Parthia wins the battle and kills 33,000 Romans. Rome would later retaliate and win against Parthia. About that time we see Rome corrupt Judah in Daniel 11:17.
THE POINT: The wars recorded in Daniel are history. The flood of war recorded in Daniel 9:26 is the one Jesus addressed in Matt. 24:37-44. The word ‘coming’ as in the “coming of the Son of man” in verse 39 is the Greek word ‘Parousia’. A part of the meaning of the word is the destruction of Jerusalem. Jerusalem would be destroyed by the Roman Army on August 9, 70 A.D. In the middle of 7 year Great Tribulation war from 66 to 73 A.D. 1.1 million Jews were killed in that war. Jesus also addressed the same war in Luke 19:43-44, Luke 21:20-21, etc. THE WARS IN DANIEL, MATTHEW AND REVELATION HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE WAR BETWEEN RUSSIA AND UKRAINE. FEAR IS NOT OF GOD. LET’S GET ON WITH EVANGELIZING THE WORLD WHERE THERE WILL BE NO MORE WARS.

Daniel 10:13 “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.“ 21 “But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.”
The word ‘Prince’ in the KJV of the Bible is an interesting word. Many times it represents a spirit in people, good or bad. The ’Prince of Persia’ was not a man, but a spirit that the Jews acquired when under the Persian Empire. Michael as a ‘prince’ is seen 3 times in Daniel. Michael is seen 2 times in the NT: Jude 1:9 and Rev. 12:7. Only Jude states that Michael is an archangel. The one speaking to Daniel would later battle the ‘Prince of Greece’ when the Greek Empire would defeat the Persians 200 years later, Daniel 10:20. The Jews would then be under the Greek Empire and take on the Hellenistic spirit of the Greek religion.
In Revelation 1:5 (KJV) it is stated that Jesus is the ‘Prince of kings‘ and He has made us kings and priests in 1:6. Is Jesus on a lower level than He made us? No He is the Spirit (Prince) within us. John 14:20 “At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.” That Day was Pentecost.
THE BAD PRINCE IN PEOPLE: Ephesians 2:2 “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:” In John 16:7-11 Jesus was sending the Comforter and when He came ’the prince of this world’ would be judged. In John 14:30 Jesus was about to face ’the prince of this world’ in the people who would crucify Him.
Jesus said this in John 12:31, “Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.” This is the same statement as seen in John 16:7-11 when the Comforter was coming. The Comforter is the Holy Spirit according to John 14:26. Jesus said that He would not leave us comfortless in John 14:18.
When Jesus was born the heavenly host sang, “Peace on earth, good will toward men.” In Isaiah 9:6 the child to be born (Jesus) would be called ’the Prince of peace’. The Holy Spirit is defined as righteousness, peace and joy in Romans 14:17. We have a choice as to which ’prince’ abides in us. Have a peaceful day.

In the Old Testament we read that God did not dwell in man. He came upon certain ones to perform specific deeds and then departed. God is an omnipresent Spirit, John 4:24, Eph. 4:6, etc. In God’s foreknowledge (Isaiah 46:9-10) He knew that if man was going to be changed into His image and likeness (NIL) He would need to get inside of him:
2 Corinthians 6:16, “And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”
The plan was formulated before the foundation of the world and would begin with ‘the Lamb’ being slain, 1 Peter 1:19-20. This would cleanse man for the habitation of God for there is no remission of sin without the sheding of blood, Hebrews 9:22. Greater love has no man than that He lay down His life for His friends. The prediction of God coming in the flesh and returning to Spirit as Immanuel (God with us) is seen in Isaiah 7:14 & 9:6. This promise of the Father dwelling in man was not just for a generation 2,000 years ago. Following is the promise OF the Father and not just a promise BY the Father:
Acts 1:4-5 “And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.”
The man Jesus had come out of God (Spirit) and was returning to God (Spirit), John 1:1, 14 & 18, John 16:28, etc. Back in the Bosom of the Father (John 1:18) He and the Father would come as One Spirit and dwell in man, John 14:20 “At ‘THAT DAY’ ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.” This 2nd COMING (Matthew 16:28, 10:23, 26:64, etc.) is a perpetual one and is available for us today just as Peter stated in Acts 2:39. Let’s allow Him to continue to COME and manifest Himself in His habitation.
