Knights of Columbus Council 10195 is based at St Cecilia Church in Wilbraham MA.

***HONORING LOCAL HEROES***

Prior to our Business Meeting that took place on Tuesday, we held a special ceremony to honor several members of the community.

Around 3 months ago, our fellow brother Knight, Tom Garvey would suffer a heart attack at the YMCA. The events that followed would be classified as a miracle. The only employee left in the building, Adam Krutka, would find Tom in the shower passed out and unresponsive. He would call 9-1-1 and start helping Tom. In just two minutes, Police, Fire and EMTs arrived on scene. Rushing him to the hospital and helping perform life saving measures on him multiple times.

Tom would make it to the hospital, doctors would attend to him, he would be in a coma and then woke up on the 7th day! With barely any set backs at all!!

He would share his story in front of the knights as well as those who saved his life that day during our meeting.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank each of you for your service!

***2026 5K ROAD RACE***

Thank you to all that participated in the Knights of Columbus - Wilbraham Council 10195 Scholarship 5K Road Race! 🏃‍♂️

We ended up hitting a RECORD with 94 racers this year! In comparison, last year we had 60 runners!

Also, congrats to Logan Conboy (20:09.07)
Linda Spooner (20:22.29) for finishing 1st and 2nd place overall! 🎉

We also want to thank all you who donated to this great cause! Your generous donations will be going towards scholarships we give out each year!

And a huge thank you the nearly dozen knights that volunteered for the event!

***YEARLY RECAP OF GIVING***

With today being the first day of the new fraternal year for our organization, we would like to showcase all the hard work and efforts our members of the Knights of Columbus - Wilbraham Council 10195 have done this past year!

It's amazing what we were able to accomplish! None of this would have been possible without the continued support and donations we received from the parishioners of St. Cecilia's Parish!

***STAR COUNCIL AWARD***

For the first time since 2020, the Knights of Columbus - Wilbraham Council 10195 has received the Star Council Award!

We did this by reaching out recruitment goal, attending Knights insurance programs, as well being running programs focused on Faith, Family, Community, and Life.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank all of those Knights and their family members who have helped us get to this tremendous award! A lot of hours and hard work went into this. I truly appreciate it!

***COLUMBIETTES INFORMATIONAL MEETING***

There will be an information session on Saturday (June 13) from 9-10am in the St. Cecilia's Parish House for those interested in joining the Columbiettes!

My wife, Neliana Ferraro de Mitchell, will be running this event.

This meeting is open to all Catholic women.

At this meeting, you'll be able to:
- Learn more about what the Columbiettes is
-Brainstorm ideas for activities for members once the chapter is established
- Fill out and return applications

Refreshments will be served.

***KNIGHTS COR: MEN'S FAITH MEETING TOMORROW***

Knights of Columbus - Wilbraham Council 10195 will be holding our monthly faith meeting for men Saturday, June 6th (Tomorrow)

It will take place at St. Cecilia's Parish House from 8:30-9:30am!

The goal of each COR gathering is to provide the opportunity for men to encounter Christ, to pray together, to be formed in their faith, and to strengthen their bonds of brotherhood.

There will be prayer, a video and discussion, and light refreshments. Registration is not required and all men are invited.

***ANNUAL SPRING RAFFLE***

The Knights of Columbus - Wilbraham Council 10195 is holding our annual spring raffle! The 20-20-20 raffle!

For the next 3 weekends, we will be selling tickets before/after masses at St. Cecilias Parish. We will also be selling tickets at St. Mary's Parish in Hampden!

Each ticket will be $20, and there are only 300 tickets available!

There will be 20 prizes! Including a $500 Grand Prize! 💰 💵

The money we raised will go towards kid-focused programs and initiatives that we donate to yearly. Some examples are Stubenville East and the Wilbraham Parks and Rec Youth Teams!

We hope you consider purchasing a ticket or two and helping us give back to our parish and community youth!

***2026 SCHOLARSHIP AWARDEES***

At our May Business Meeting, we held our annual scholarship ceremony!

We awarded 3 high school seniors with $1,500 scholarships!

Joe Slattery, Cody Erskine and Michael McGrath were chosen as the 2026 Knight Scholarship winners.

The contributions you have made in your school, parish and the community are truly amazing!

May God bless you and your families as you begin the next chapter of your lives.
