Experiencing God's favor as we introduced COTAAN to the Lake County Adult Detention Center's WITTS (Women in Transition Through Support) Program. We are looking forward to establishing a lasting relationship both in the Lake County Detention Center and with the women as they are released back into the community.

What a blessing listening to Dr. Michelle Alexander last night as she discussed the crisis of mass incarceration in the United States. According to Dr. Alexander, one in five Ohioans are incarcerated, and one in five live in poverty. What are we going to do about this tragedy?

Thanks to Olivet Institutional Baptist Church, Cleveland UMADAOP, and Case Western University for coordinating this informative and educational event.

Take Dr. Alexander's challenge; make your way to Olivet Institutional Baptist Church on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. for a community meeting. Olivet is located at 8712 Quincy Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44106. Rev. Dr. Jawanza Colvin, Senior Pastor Ramona Guadalupe

A popular song states: "Where would I be if not for Your grace caring me through every season?"

The COTAAN ministry wants to help women and girls returning from incarceration realize that its by God's grace that they have another chance to develope an initmate relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ.

Don't get it twisted, God's grace saved US from making mistakes that would have changed the trajectory of our lives. Let's remember and have compassion towards our sisters. (Luke 4:18-19)

COTAAN is launching its first class on October 15, 2012. We have space for 20 women. Jesus teaches that we are to have compassion for the widow, children, the poor, and the prisioner. He came that we should ALL be set free.

COTAAN's goal is to help women who are free from chains of incarceration free themselves from chains of unemployment, mental, physical and social chains, and move towards a whole healthy life through the power of Jesus Christ.

If you know of someone who would be blessed by this ministry, please contact Min. Kathryn Johnson at [email protected] or 440-585-7350 to make a referral. Also please consider making a donation to this non-profit ministry.
