Had a good service this morning and a wonderful dinner afterwards for the August birthdays and our anniversary. Thank you to all who took time to cook and celebrate with us. Had a great brisket cooked by Eric who devoted 16 hours on the grill. May God bless you all.

Hope everybody is enjoying the “cooler” weather. God is good to each of us. I hope each one that reads this will be in a Bible believing church this Sunday. Another successful shopping trip for our Doyle Turner memorial food pantry. All this is possible because of some very generous and appreciated individuals. We cannot thank you enough for your support of our mission to help our little community. It was a hot one yesterday but we were able to get some great items for the pantry.

Ok we got the numbers for the Doyle Turner Memorial Food Pantry for the year. We celebrated our 3rd year open on July 18th. With help from those who donate money to buy the food we served 331 families which represents 656 people. That is down from last year’s numbers of 365 families and 780 people. I pray that means that we helped that many back on their feet. God has been so good to our little pantry and we have so blessed with people who have been so faithful to support us. That’s why I want to be transparent with everything we do. We don’t post pictures of the food we buy in a prideful manner but to let y’all know where the money goes. I’m very open so if anyone ever wants to know anything about the pantry how it works why we have what we have etc… I’ll be happy to answer your questions. Thanks again for ALL the support whether it’s in money, labor or prayers it’s very appreciated. God bless each one.

Well July 18 marked our 3rd anniversary of the Doyle Turner Memorial Food Pantry. It will be open tomorrow. God has blessed our little mission more than we deserve. It’s been an amazing 3 years and as the other 2 years I will be posting the numbers that was blessed last year. The ladies work hard to buy, stock, sack and hand out the bags. Please go by and tell them THANK YOU for giving their time and labor to make sure everything goes smoothly every time it’s open. They don’t get paid to do the work but I would say it would put a smile on their faces to hear an appreciation from you. God bless the folks who donate and support us.
