Christian nationalism: what is it, and what’s wrong with it? Join Mennonite Church of the Servant via Zoom for our October book study on five Wednesdays at 7:00 pm, as we discuss “Strange Worship.” We’ve chosen this book on Christian nationalism because it comes from an Anabaptist Bible professor, Drew Strait, and includes suggestions for Christians who want to recenter their faith on the correct view of Jesus Christ. Here’s a brief intro to the book study taken from the MCS September Newsletter. We will also create a Facebook event so you can share this series with anyone easily.

Mennonite Central Committee recently added stories of school kit distribution to its website! Since we packed 250 school kits and delivered them to the MCC Central States office on August 19, 2025, it’s good to know how appreciated they are. The story with the website’s Cuba photo, below, tells us: “In July 2025, MCC sent school kits to Cuba for the first time. Abigail Hernandez Machado, 5, who will start first grade this fall, and her brother, Aaron Hernandez Machado, 4, were the among the first to use one. Their mother, Claudia Machado Cruz, and the children attend Palmira Brethren in Christ Church.”
