Dr. Gianna Emanuela Molla, MD, is the last child of Saint Gianna Beretta Molla and Pietro Molla. Her saint mother sacrificed her own life to give life to Gianna Emanuela; her holy father faithfully honored his wife and indeed made a total sacrifice of himself for their family. Gianna Emanuela serves full time, with great joy and enthusiasm, and with deepest gratitude to Our Lord, to spread throughout the world the knowledge of and the devotion to her saint mom and her holy dad. She is Co-Founder, Lifetime Member of the Board of Directors, and Secretary of the “Saint Gianna Beretta Molla and Pietro Molla Foundation”, an IRC Section 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Corporation located in North Dakota, United States of America, of which His Eminence, Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke, is Founder and President. The Foundation pursues exclusively essential religious, educational and charitable purposes, aiming to honor, perpetuate and spread around the world the memory, example, testimony and spirituality of Saint Gianna and her saintly spouse Pietro. Its major work is to promote, establish and oversee “The Saint Gianna and Pietro Molla International Center for Family and Life” in the United States (www.SaintGiannaPietroMolla.org). Formerly, Gianna Emanuela practiced as a geriatrician at the Geriatric Institute “Camillo Golgi” in Abbiategrasso (Milan). In January 2003, she left her profession to care for her most beloved father who had serious health problems until he died on April 3, 2010, Holy Saturday, at the age of almost 98. After her father’s death, Gianna Emanuela made the decision not to return to the practice of medicine but to give herself full-time to making the saintly life of her parents known, especially their witness to the Catholic Faith in defending the inviolable dignity of human life and the integrity of holy matrimony and of its fruit, the family.
