St. Francis of Assisi CYM

St. Francis of Assisi CYM The Catholic Youth Ministry at St. Francis of Assisi Wichita empowers our young people to live as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.

This group meets every Wednesday from 8 to 9:30 pm in Assisi Hall. Teens encounter Christ through the Eucharist in our monthly Holy Hour and Benediction, through various guest speakers who are on fire for their Catholic faith, and through fellowship with one another in sports and games. SFA high school youth also have the opportunity to attend various retreats and conferences throughout the year,

such as the Diocesan Catholic Youth Conference (DCYC), Prayer and Action, March for Life, Teens Encounter Christ (TEC), LEAD, Steubenville Conferences and Totus Tuus retreats. Youth Director: Emily Savage

Our CYM crew stayed busy with Gaga Ball, soccer, volleyball, hacky sack, Can Jam, and plenty of friendly competition! ⚽🏐🥏 We even caught the World Cup action together before winding down the night with a Toy Story movie under the summer sky. 🌎📺🤠

🌭🍦🕊️ CYM had a blast at our latest Papal Eats & Patio Feats!

We put our papal knowledge to the test with a showdown of trivia covering all the Popes we’ve learned about throughout the year (and discovered who was really paying attention 😄). We also spent time in small groups diving into and discussing Pope Leo’s encyclical, growing together in faith and understanding.

Of course, no Papal Eats night would be complete without great food! We enjoyed our “Mix of the Popes” trail mix, ballpark hot dogs in honor of Pope Leo, and finished the evening with delicious ice cream and Fr.’s homemade shakes. 🍨🥤

Faith, friendship, food, and a little friendly competition—what more could you ask for? Thank you to everyone who joined us for another great night of CYM!
