This coming Sunday, June 28th, we will experience "Worship Sharing" in our 9:30 am adult education hour. Jaylene will, again, be our facilitator. This is a tender and deep way of being together. All are welcome!

Join us this coming Sunday, June 21st, for an Adult Education Hour facilitated by Leigh Earley. We will center on some theories -- about welcoming new friends and about worship. Our discussions are always lively and enlightening. All are welcome -- 9:30 am in the Hearthroom. Singing at 10:45 and Unprogrammed Worship at 11:00.

QLC on the road! Andy was recently spotted at Great Plains Yearly Meeting in Wichita, KS. He shared about the ministry of Quaker Leadership Center for the Quaker organizations roundtable and, apparently, said things that Michael Sherman thought were funny.

Andy was inspired by the range of good ministry being done by these organizations and always appreciates hearing the joys and challenges Friends are facing in our yearly meetings. It guides our praying and planning as we seek to equip and encourage those who do the sacred work of loving and leading local meetings & churches.

Militarization of our system is becoming ever-harder to avoid, and if we are to be serious about our historic commitment to peace, we must be contemplating peace together, intentionally, and NOW! Join with adults from across the country to explore the "hows" relating to being a conscientious objector and the "what ifs" of what that means in the real world today. 📢 ☮️

Quakers often say we are holding someone “in the Light” or “I will hold you in the Light.” On the first Sunday of each month Friends gather to focus on healing. Sometimes an individual brings a personal concern and sometimes broader concerns are brought forward. Names and concerns may be emailed to Jaylene ahead of time if attendance is not possible. We will gather at 9:30 am in the Hearth Room for our June Meeting for Healing.

Justice Together continues to work on creating affordable housing in the Wichita area.

Both said, in light of last month’s vote, a possible sales tax must have broad input from Wichitans to ensure that the design and implementation aligns with the community.
