This Sunday, we’re confronting a question the contemporary Church cannot afford to ignore:
We know how to fill rooms with people. We know how to fill them with music, preaching, technology, programs, personalities, and production. But none of those things can substitute for the presence and power of the Holy Ghost.

In Acts 2, the disciples entered the room carrying a promise. Jesus had told them that they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon them. They knew the power was coming; they simply didn’t know when. But while they waited, they waited with expectation.

Then suddenly, everything changed.

Pentecost was a historical event, but the God of Pentecost is still present. The same Holy Spirit is still saving, healing, delivering, restoring, transforming, and empowering people today.
Come expecting more than another church service. Come believing God can meet you right where you are.

We have learned how to recognize the moment when the atmosphere changes, but what if God wants to do something that goes far beyond a moment?

There is something Jesus promised His followers that would change how they lived, how they responded to pressure, and how they carried out their assignment. It was never intended to remain inside a church building, and it was never meant to end when the music stopped.

This Sunday, we are beginning a new journey that will challenge what we have celebrated, confront what we have settled for, and push us to examine whether what we say we possess is actually showing up in how we live.
Something is supposed to be different.

As students start school this week, we made sure they are sent with The Word and covered in prayer! All kinds of emotions are felt when starting something new but we know that God is with us through all of the situations that may arise throughout the school day!
