Have you ever traveled or been on a vacation to some delightful destination, have a fabulous time, but still be ready to be home. There’s something about being home. It may be the warmth, the atmosphere that invites you to be yourself or the familiarity that whispers ‘relax’. Whatever that specific ingredient is for you, home stratifies something within you. It is also true that there is a deep longing within each individual, a drive to be somewhere else. We look at it and strive to fill it with something that is calming and comfortable but there can still be an unsettledness. Why? It is possible that you have an implanted desire for Heaven!? You are invited to come together to consider that.

Your body is largely made of water, and by design, it constantly signals its need to be replenished. You feel it in your throat, your lips, your energy level...

It has been hot this summer! Whenever the temperature gets near or crosses over the 100 mark, warnings and alerts go out aiding us to be cautious. Beyond shade or AC, what is essential for surviving the extremes is water. The natural indication of our need is one of thirst. Our bodies thirst for drink and water is the main ingredient for fulfillment. But we all know there is plenty of alternatives available, drinks that taste great, temporarily satisfy and camouflage what our bodies are needing . . . water. So, in your life – are you satisfying your thirsty with the best fulfillment?

The Bible views life as a continuous journey with God rather than just a race to the end. Scripture teaches that true joy comes from walking closely with Jesus each day, finding contentment in present moments, and trusting Him through every high and low. There is a security that is possible through Jesus and when you incorporate the divine principles from his Word – your journey will have a hope that heart desires.

And then there are the unexpected occasions that come to your doorstep that you don’t want. These are often disturbing and occasionally tragic interruptions that we didn’t see coming. How do you handle these situations? Do you have a lifeline for the unexpected?
