Mañana, primero de Junio, en que empieza el sexto mes del año, les comparto una pregunta clásica del Catecismo de la Iglesia:

Pregunta:
¿Tenemos que asistir a la Santa Misa TODOS los Domingos del año?

Respuesta:
Sí, para todos nosotros, Católicos, todos los Domingos son "Días de Precepto", o sea, "Días de Obligación" de asistir a la Santa Misa del Día del Señor.

Esto significa, que todos nosotros, Católicos tenemos el deber de participar en la Santa Misa Dominical o en la Santa Misa de Sábado por la tarde o noche que se celebra en anticipación al Domingo.

Nos salvó mediante el lavamiento de la regeneración y de la renovación por el Espíritu Santo, el cual fue derramado abundantemente sobre nosotros por medio de Jesucristo nuestro Salvador. Cuando vieron al niño, contaron lo que les habían dicho acerca de él, y cuantos lo oyeron se asombraron de lo que los pastores decían. María, por su parte, guardaba todas estas cosas en su corazón y meditaba acerca de ellas. OH Señor Jesucristo, que en tu primera venida enviaste tu mensajero a preparar tu camino delante de ti; Concede que los ministros y dispensadores de tus misterios preparen también, y dispongan tu camino, volviendo los corazones de los desobedientes a la sabiduría de los justos, para que en tu segunda venida a juzgar al mundo encuentres que somos un pueblo agradable a tus ojos; Tú que vives y reinas con el Padre y el Espíritu Santo siempre, Dios, por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.✟

OH DIOS todopoderoso, que derramas misericordiosamente tus perpetuos favores sobre aquellos que se acogen bajo la protección especial de la Santísima Virgen María de Guadalupe, concédenos a tus suplicantes, que nosotros los que nos regocijamos en mantener su memoria aquí en la tierra, podamos disfrutar de su presencia en el cielo. Hermanos: Ustedes deben considerarnos simplemente como ayudantes de Cristo, encargados de enseñar los designios secretos de Dios. Ahora bien, el que recibe un encargo debe demostrar que es digno de confianza. En cuanto a mí respecta, muy poco me preocupa ser juzgado por ustedes o por algún tribunal humano. Ni siquiera yo mismo me juzgo. Sin embargo, el que mi conciencia no me acuse de nada no significa que yo por esto sea inocente. Pues el que me juzga es el Señor. Por lo tanto, no juzguen ustedes nada antes de tiempo; esperen a que el Señor venga y saque a la luz lo que ahora está en la oscuridad y dé a conocer las intenciones del corazón. Entonces Dios dará a cada uno la alabanza que merezca. ✟

EL SANTO EVANGELIO

Jesús les contestó: «Vayan y díganle a Juan lo que están viendo y oyendo. Cuéntenle que los ciegos ven, los cojos andan, los leprosos quedan limpios de su enfermedad, los sordos oyen, los mu***os vuelven a la vida y a los pobres se les anuncia la buena noticia. ¡Y dichoso aquel que no encuentre en mí motivo de tropiezo!» Cuando ellos se fueron, Jesús comenzó a hablar a la gente acerca de Juan, diciendo: «¿Qué salieron ustedes a ver al desierto? ¿Una caña sacudida por el viento? Y si no, ¿qué salieron a ver? ¿Un hombre vestido lujosamente? Ustedes saben que los que se visten lujosamente están en las casas de los reyes. En fin, ¿a qué salieron? ¿A ver a un profeta? Romanos 15:4-13.
HERMANOS: Todo lo que antes se dijo en las Escrituras, se escribió para nuestra instrucción, para que con constancia y con el consuelo que de ellas recibimos, tengamos esperanza. Y Dios, que es quien da constancia y consuelo, los ayude a ustedes a vivir en armonía unos con otros, conforme al ejemplo de Cristo Jesús, para que todos juntos, a una sola voz, alaben al Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Así pues, acéptense los unos a los otros, como también Cristo los aceptó a ustedes, para gloria de Dios. Puedo decirles que Cristo vino a servir a los judíos para cumplir las promesas hechas a nuestros antepasados y demostrar así que Dios es fiel a lo que promete. Vino también para que los no judíos alaben a Dios por su misericordia, según dice la Escritura: «Por eso te alabaré entre las naciones y cantaré himnos a tu nombre.» En otra parte, la Escritura dice: «¡Alégrense, naciones, con el pueblo de Dios!» Y en otro lugar dice: «Naciones y pueblos todos, ¡alaben al Señor!» Isaías también escribió: «Brotará la raíz de Jesé, que se levantará para gobernar a las naciones, las cuales pondrán en él su esperanza.» Que Dios, que da esperanza, los llene de alegría y paz a ustedes que tienen fe en él, y les dé abundante esperanza por el poder del Espíritu Santo. ✟

Entonces se verá al Hijo del hombre venir en una nube con gran poder y gloria. Cuando comiencen a suceder estas cosas, anímense y levanten la cabeza, porque muy pronto serán libertados. También les puso esta comparación: —Fíjense en la higuera, o en cualquier otro árbol. Cuando ven que brotan las hojas, se dan cuenta ustedes de que ya está cerca el verano. De la misma manera, cuando vean que suceden estas cosas, sepan que el reino de Dios ya está cerca. »Les aseguro que todo esto sucederá antes que muera la gente de este tiempo. El cielo y la tierra dejarán de existir, pero mis palabras no dejarán de cumplirse. ✟
