Kaylee Root & Skylar Tarbell will celebrate the Sacrament of Matrimony this Saturday! Will you please stop your scroll to say a quick prayer for them?

"The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament." CCC 1601

Tomorrow, June 11 — In a powerful spiritual moment tied to America’s 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Catholic bishops will solemnly consecrate the entire nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The consecration will take place during the bishops’ Spring Plenary Assembly in Orlando and will be livestreamed for the whole nation to participate. This is the first time in U.S. history that the country is being formally consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus — a beautiful act of trust in Christ’s mercy and love for our nation.
Why This Matters:
In times of division, challenges, and uncertainty, we turn to the Heart of Jesus — the source of all consolation, justice, and true peace. May this consecration bring abundant graces, healing, and renewal to America.

How to Participate Tomorrow:

I am excited to serve at Magdalen and am looking forward to the next part of my journey as a priest!
I am very social and love to spend time with families so I hope many will invite me over once I get to Magdalen! I appreciate getting an authentic picture of family life and entering into their joys and sorrows.
I studied philosophy at the University of Dallas, theology at Mundelein, and I got ordained a priest in 2024. My homilies are often fruit of the work God is doing in my own heart and I look forward to serving and loving the new parish community the Holy Spirit has led me to!
I have done karate since I was four, and before seminary I was being trained as a professional dance instructor. I enjoy reading, music, and a good cigar! My inspiration to become a priest was St John Paul II, and my other favorite saints are Therese of Lisieux and Pier Giorgio.
