Central Community Church Living Hope Support Groups

Central Community Church Living Hope Support Groups Living Hope is a ministry that provides hope and support for those going through a challenging time of life. No one ever claimed that life would be easy.

Even Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Where do you turn when life takes an unexpected turn? The doctor tells you that you have cancer. Your spouse is suddenly killed in a car accident. The dreams you had for your blended family seem to be out of reach and fading fast. Sometimes it happens when you least expect it. When everything in life

is going so well, suddenly something happens that is life changing and you wonder how you will survive. What you need is hope, Living Hope. Romans 15:13 tells us,

“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

MANAGING ANXIETY: YOURS & THEIRS
MEETS TUESDAYS AT 7:00PM BEGINNING APR. 19 // ROOM 216 // ZOOM OPTION AVAILABLE
Reactivity is contagious. It spreads within us as individuals until it becomes unmanageable, and it spreads like wildfire between people. Reactivity keeps us from encountering deep peace and freedom and it causes relational damage and stuck patterns.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. With some careful observation, diagnostic tools, and practical habits, you can learn to flip the power dynamic and move from being managed by anxiety to managing it. You can lower reactivity in yourself and others and displace your anxiety with peace. You can be calm, aware, and present.

Anxiety carries a message that keeps you stuck and trapped, but you can learn to notice when you are living by that message of anxiety and replace it with a true belief of freedom and peace.

This 7-week series includes a notebook. Each 20-minute video session is followed by discussion and action steps along with additional tools to help participants have victory over anxiety in very practical ways.

How many times do we surrender our child to God, but then take back the burdens of worry and fear? Trusting God has to be a moment by moment, day by day decision.

Our child is not the only one who needs salvation right now. We are in great need of salvation as well. We need salvation from our anxiety, our anger, our guilt and our shame.

Read this verse throughout the day today. Ingrain this truth that God is your strength, your joy, your peace, and your salvation into your heart and surrender your burdens to Him.

Join us tonight at 7pm for Healing the Wounded Heart support group.

Healing the Wounded Heart will discuss the greatest destroyer of the home; rejection, but we will also discuss many other facets of wounding that leave strongholds in our thinking that lead to broken homes, dysfunctional families, broken relationships, and alienation from God. This series will address the road to healing, and a deeper communion with God through means of the Word of God, the People of God, and the Spirit of God.

Our Story

No one ever claimed that life would be easy. Even Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Where do you turn when life takes an unexpected turn? The doctor tells you that you have cancer. Your spouse is suddenly killed in a car accident. The dreams you had for your blended family seem to be out of reach and fading fast. Sometimes it happens when you least expect it. When everything in life is going so well, suddenly something happens that changes everything and you wonder how you will survive. What you need is hope, Living Hope. Romans 15:13 tells us, “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Living Hope groups are designed with several elements to help participants gain personal and spiritual awareness and to learn how to apply what they have learned. The curriculum is sometimes video based with interviews of skilled and trained professionals along with people who share their experiences that participants can relate to. Participants receive a take-home book for further reference.

God’s Word has the answers to life’s most difficult questions. God’s Spirit brings comfort, clarity and guidance for navigating rough waters. Living Hope groups provide a safe place for fellow sufferers to come together to share their stories and struggles. Together they are united through God’s Spirit to discover biblical answers and direction, resulting in hope.
