We’re believing for what God wants to do in Burk. For people to find Jesus. For families to find home. For the next generation to know Him. For people to walk in freedom. For a community to know there is a place for them.

This isn’t just about opening the doors of a new campus. It’s about making room for what God wants to do in a city we already love.

People saying yes to Jesus. Baptisms worth celebrating. A church family doing life together. And another City Hope home getting ready to open its doors in Burk.

We don’t want to move so fast that we miss any of it.

Church was never meant to stay inside four walls.

Sometimes loving your neighbor looks like handing out lunch. Sometimes it's giving away water, meeting a practical need, or simply showing up and letting someone know they matter.

That’s what First Saturday Serve is about.

This Saturday, we’re heading out into Wichita Falls + Burkburnett to serve the communities we get to call home. No spotlight needed. No complicated agenda. Just people loving people in practical ways and showing them Jesus along the way.

What happened was real. But it doesn’t have to become the lens you see everything through.

Disappointment can make you expect the worst. Failure can convince you not to try again. Fear can make playing it safe feel like wisdom.

And before you know it, yesterday is shaping what you believe about tomorrow.

But God sees what you can’t see yet.

So maybe today, you look again.

Past the fear. Past the disappointment. Past the thing that didn’t work out the way you prayed it would.

There is still room to hope.
Still room to trust.
Still room to dream again.

Your past may be part of your story, but it doesn’t get to write the ending.

Look again. There is still a future full of hope.

Maybe the goal was never to build a life that looks impressive.

Maybe it’s a life that stays close to Jesus.

In the dreaming, the building, the waiting, the wins, the disappointments, the things that work out and the things that don’t…we can come back to the same place:

Jesus at the center.

Not perfection. Not having every answer. Not proving anything. Just continually choosing to put Him back in His rightful place and trusting that a life surrendered to Him will always be worth it.

And tomorrow night, we get to do exactly that together.
