The Bridge College Ministry The Bridge is the College Ministry of First Baptist Church, Wichita Falls Tuesdays at 8pm | The Bridge - Live worship, teaching, food, games, and community.

Sundays at 9:45am | Life Groups - This is a time to study scripture and discuss real-life with friends, other students, and adult leaders. Home Groups - A small group and safe space to dive deep into scripture, ask questions, have good conversation, and create new friendships.

James series WK 3:

* James 2:15–17
* Matthew 5:17

* Key Question: Do our actions reflect that we are children of God?

Faith in Action:

* Real faith serves others and meets needs.
* When God puts something on your heart, act on it.

Love Others
* If we struggle to love fellow believers, how can we love nonbelievers?
* We love because God loved us first.
* Relationship with God:
* God desires a daily relationship with us.
* We are not called to live comfortably but to follow Him faithfully.
* Spiritual Growth:
* James gives “tough love” to help believers grow.
* We are called to bear spiritual fruit.
* We must die to ourselves and live for Christ.
* Main Challenge: Don’t just hear God’s Word—do something with it.
* Final Thought: Are we known for following Jesus?

James Series WK 2:

James 1:19-21

God is not to blame for hardships; trials happen because we live in a broken world.

True wisdom means being eager to listen, slow to speak, and responding instead of reacting.

Pride is identified as the root cause of anger.

Be highly careful about what you allow into your life, especially social media and music.

It is dangerous to become familiar with God’s word without letting it actively change your behavior.

Our feelings are deceptive, and personal happiness is directly tied to living out your Godliness.

Thank you Steven for a great start to the James series!!

James Series WK 1:

James 1:2–5

* Real faith shows up in the way we live.
* James teaches that God can use hard times to grow our faith.
* Trials help build endurance and teach us to keep going.
* The joy is not in the trial itself, but in what God produces through it.
* Difficulties have purpose and can shape us into who God wants us to be.
* Instead of asking, “Why is this happening?” ask, “What is God teaching me through this?”
* When you need wisdom, ask God.
* Trust God’s Word first and seek His guidance through it.

God uses trials to strengthen your faith, build endurance, and help you grow closer to Him.
