What an amazing finish to our week-long Mission Trip to Belize! It's been wonderful to serve again in Hattieville Village. May the Lord keep our Belizean brothers and sisters close to Him... especially all the precious children that attended our Vacation Bible School.

Edgemere's Mission Trip to Belize and our Vacation Bible School in Hattieville are off to an amazing start!!! Logan preached the Word to a packed-church on Sunday and we had a great fellowship meal after worship prepared by the Sisters of the congregation.

Our VBS on Monday was met with great weather and lots of smiles from the 40 children who attended... some of which have been to all of our previous VBS iterations since 2018!

We thank God for this opportunity to share His love with the youth of Hattieville!

This is our Edgemere team that is traveling to Belize today. What a blessing it is to work every summer with the children in Hattieville and encourage the Brothers and Sisters in this community. May the Spirit lead this team to say and do the right things at the right time and to the right people. All glory to God!

Today our son Tommy got his first haircut. Our middle daughter, Miller, was devastated. She cried and cried because, “Daddy cut off Tommy’s curls!” She was so heartbroken that we finally came to a compromise: we’d finish the haircut, and she could keep a little baggie of Tommy’s curls.

Sometimes change is really hard.

We grieve what was. We miss the familiar. We wish things could stay the way they were. Whether it’s a child’s first haircut, a friend moving away, a new job, a loss, or a season of life coming to an end, change often brings sadness.

But in a world where so much is constantly changing, there’s one thing that never does.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” — Hebrews 13:8

People come and go. Jobs change. Families grow. Kids get haircuts. Seasons of life pass more quickly than we’d like.

Yet the God of the universe remains the same. His character doesn’t change. His promises don’t expire. His love for you doesn’t fluctuate with your circumstances. He sent His Son to die so that you might truly live, and He is always, unfailingly good.

When everything around you feels uncertain, anchor yourself to the One who never changes.
