Compassion Cares has had the privilege of serving in various community areas over the weekend. On Friday, we marked the beginning of the weekend by expressing our appreciation to the teachers and staff at West Foundation with donuts, juice, and goodie bags, in recognition of Teacher Appreciation Week.
Our next stop was the Faith Refuge, where we served the women and children by performing landscaping tasks, including bush trimming, tree cutting, debris removal, and organized the clothing closet. We then prepared and served lunch, taking the opportunity to gift each woman with a long-stem rose in celebration of Mother's Day.

The Compassion Cares team was exceptionally active today, participating in not one but two significant events. The team divided into two groups this morning, with one segment assisting at the THOR Kids Obstacle Run and the other at City View for the Area 9 Special Olympics Track and Field event. It was a remarkable day for all involved, marked by considerable determination and joy among the children as they successfully navigated obstacles at THOR, alongside evident pride and satisfaction among the Special Olympians. Gratitude is extended to the Lord for the opportunity to serve as vessels of love.

Compassion Cares had a remarkable weekend. We began on Friday morning by serving breakfast to the West Foundation Elementary teachers and staff, accompanied by gift bags. We were honored to serve them and acknowledge their tireless efforts in shaping the minds of future generations. On Saturday morning, we visited Sheridan Medical Lodge, engaging in fellowship, playing BINGO with the residents, and providing snacks and prizes. It was a heartwarming experience to spend time with these exceptional individuals. We are grateful to Jesus for using us as instruments to express His love to His children.

Compassion Cares representatives had a remarkable time at Night to Shine 2026. We appreciate One Life Church's efforts in hosting this exceptional event and allowing us to be a part of it. The evening was filled with memorable experiences, including welcoming honored guests, accompanying them on the red carpet, dancing, taking photos, enjoying dinner, singing karaoke, meeting Elijah the comfort dog, riding in limousines, and crowning each guest as a king or queen. It was an honor to serve these outstanding individuals. We are grateful to Jesus for creating each person uniquely and wonderfully.

Compassion Cares experienced a remarkable day serving the community! We prepared and served a nutritious meal, and distributed essential items including jackets, gloves, socks, scarves, beanies, and blankets at the Faith Mission. God multiplied our resources, enabling us to serve over 100 underprivileged individuals this afternoon. We extend our gratitude to the Compassion Cares team for your selfless dedication, embodying the spirit of service and compassion towards those in need.

Compassion Cares team members were delighted to sing Christmas carols with residents at Royal Estates, Midwestern Healthcare, SeniorCare Health & Rehabilitation, and Brookdale Midwestern. Compassion Cares enjoyed a highly successful day interacting with athletes from the Wichita Falls Miracle League during their kickball games this morning. Jesus heard our prayers, clearing the skies and enabling the event to take place. We express our sincere appreciation to the Wichita Falls Miracle League for giving us the opportunity to participate in this heartwarming and enjoyable experience.
