It is with a heavy heart that I’m writing this message.
Ruben Garcia had a heart attack this morning and did not survive. Ruben was our maintenance man at Trinity.
Ruben was the kindest man I know and had a huge heart. My heart is broken for his family Carmen Garcia (she was our day care person). His daughter Nicole attended Trinity and his son Ruben.
R.I.P. Ruben

I’m not sure how many of you Trinity Alumni will remember Sharon Brandt. She taught 2nd grade at Trinity in 1960 - 1965. Not sure about the exact dates. She was related to The Nordling’s, Don and Charlotte. I believe the boys, John and Ole went to Trinity.
I received the email below and wanted to and to keep her family in your prayers.

Blessings, friends and family of Sharon Brandt Willweber. I am writing
to let you know that Sharon was called away from this vale of tears by
her Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 23.

She had just returned on Thursday to her home on Oahu from a great
trip to Kona: a family reunion for her and Lloyd with their three sons
and wives, and seven grandchildren. We had a fabulous time together!
She flew home Thursday, went into the hospital on Friday -- the
doctors diagnosed pneumonia and sepsis. She went quietly and quickly,
just as she wanted to go. She loved her Lord!!

A beautiful prayer was written by the present pastor of a church Lloyd served:

Merciful Father, the generations rise and pass away before You. You
are the strength of those who labor and the repose of the blessed
dead. We give you thanks for all who have lived and died in the faith,
especially for Sharon, our dear sister. In this body You gave her life
and poured out Your Holy Spirit when You washed her in the renewing
waters of Holy Baptism. By the same Spirit you led her to confess with
her mouth that Jesus is Lord and to believe in her heart that You have
raised Christ from the dead. Give us faith to commend our sister to
You and to await with confidence the resurrection of all You saints,
living and departed; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, Who
lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and
forever. Amen.

knew and loved so many people. I apologize for any inconvenience and
I'm hoping this doesn't go to spam. It was easiest to email as many as

Updated pictures of Trinity Lutheran Whittier.
All that remains are the corners of the parish hall and the corner of the 4th grade classroom.
There will be starting the remodel on the church the week after Easter. Ground breaking for the new Parish Hall will be held on April 10th after the 9am church service.
Easter Sunday will be our last service before remodel will begin.

I wanted to share this with everyone.
Mrs. Lambert was the school secretary while I attended Trinity. She was an amazing lady and I am sure she could have written a book on excuses kids give to go home so they don’t have to stay at school.
