Jesus is the perfect model of victory in temptation. He allowed the Spirit to lead Him into the wilderness where He was tempted by the enemy, and combatted him with the Word of God. There the battle of submission was won.

God does His deepest work when we are alone with Him. Wilderness seasons are not wasted time. He will show us how to have victory in temptation even when our flesh is weak.

Be on guard. The enemy seeks to destroy the work of God in our lives before it begins. Live on His Word and in return receive His strength.

While this world is passing away, what we do here for His Kingdom echoes into eternity.

Instead of looking at the cycles of this world, we lift our eyes to the Son of Man, Jesus. He is the only one who breaks the cycle and gives our everyday lives true, eternal purpose.
