Potluck supper at Whittier United Methodist Church, Friday, August 21st at 6 pm. The price is $10 or $12. (I don’t remember). It’s all you can eat, includes drink and dessert. All are welcome to attend. Proceeds go to outreach ministry.

Join us in prayer for the Philippines, as flooding and landslides caused by Typhoon Inday (international name: Bavi) and the enhanced southwest monsoon caused at least 15 deaths and impacted tens of thousands of people in the southern region of the country last week. We pray especially for those still vulnerable and recovering from the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck this same region last month. We also lift up the people of Taiwan and China who are in the path of Typhoon Bavi.

UMCOR is in close communication with our Disaster Management Office in the Davao Episcopal Area - UMC, and we stand ready to support them as they respond to the needs of those impacted.

Whittier United Methodist Church will have a “Taco Bar” dinner at 6 pm on Friday, June 26th. For $10 you can eat all you want with drink and dessert included. All proceeds go to Outreach ministries in our area. Everyone is invited to attend.
