Our scriptures this week remind us of several important factors especially as we as followers of Christ Jesus are called to uplift those others attempt to put down or destroy. The immigrant among us, the hungry, those who others seek to diminish; by taking away protections, services, and programs needed to improve life for those who through no fault of their own are kept down by society in general and governments more specifically.

Come this Sunday morning at 10:00 am in person as we look at Psalm 99 and Acts 10:34-43 as they pertain to being the voice for those in need, going to God on their behalf and recognizing God shows justice and equality for everyone. Important messages for us especially now.

Our doors open at 9:30 am and our service begins at 10:00 am.

See you there!

Our scriptures this week help us to understand how loving God is; how God listens to us and our needs and leads us accordingly.

Leads us to a place not of human judgment but to a place that is given freely for each of us to receive.

God invites each of us to come to Christ’s table as we are led by God.

Especially for us within the LGBT community knowing we are included and invited to the communion table with no judgments is huge for us.

There are many out there who act like the King at the wedding of his son in Matthew 22. If you don’t look a certain way, don’t dress a certain way or even speak in a certain way you are shunned and not welcomed at Christ’s table.

For us at Good Samaritan MCC as at every MCC throughout the world; we are invited to the table and so God has invited you as well.

Come this Sunday morning in person at 10:00 am as we gather for a time of praise and worship, a message, family prayer time, and be encouraged to come to Christ’s table and to receive.

Our doors open at 9:30 am and our service begins at 10:00 am.

See you there!

Our scriptures this week remind us of several important things. What we are to claim and as such what we are to proclaim, and how we are to live.

The scriptures were written millennia ago but are just as significant now as they were when they were written.

The date has changed, but what God wants from us is still the same and actually even more pronounced now.

Come this Sunday morning at 10:00 am in person as we gather together to praise and worship God, support one another as community, and grow in our desires to be the good tenants of this earth.

Our doors open at 9:30 am and our service begins at 10:00 am.

See you there!

We sometimes find ourselves feeling doubtful or unworthy of God’s love, grace, mercy, or peace; yet the Israelites who seemed to spend a great deal of time complaining indirectly about God as they complained about Moses and Aaron; always were on the receiving end of God’s goodness.

There are those who say LGBT and allies are not worthy of God’s love, grace, mercy, or peace; yet these scriptures and so much more show us differently. Because we see and know; no matter what just as we see in Matthew 21 that even those deemed unworthy by the religious authorities of the day were deemed more than worthy by Jesus as he taught God’s love.

Come this Sunday morning in person at 10:00 am as we look at these scriptures in their context and in the same vein for us today.
Our doors open at 9:30 am and our service begins at 10:00 am.

See you there!

Our scriptures this week remind us of just how much God loves us, even when the Hebrew children complained about no food or drink to Moses and Aaron; God still provided and gave ample amounts of everything to sustain.

Then in the parable of the famer who paid everyone the same amount at the end of the day, we are reminded that God treats all of us equally; loves us all equally, and does not with-hold from those who truly believe and serve God by serving others.

We will look at these scriptures in their original context as well as in today’s world and especially within the LGBT community.

Come this Sunday morning in person at 10:00 am as we gather in community to praise and worship the Lord, share a message, family prayer, and a time for all to gather and come to Christ’s table as God invites us all to receive communion together.

Our doors open at 9:30 am and our service begins at 10:00 am.

Stop by our booth at Whittier Pride! Say hello, take a spin on our prize wheel, and let us share some information on upcoming social events and more about us as the Advocate recently published the most affirming LGBT Christian Church Denomination.

We don't tolerate as some churches do, we don't just affirm as some churches do, WE CELEBRATE LIVING AUTHENTICALLY as God created us to live.

See you at Whittier Pride

Our journeys through life really do require us to live in faith don’t they.

Faith like the Hebrew people coming out of Egypt needed. Some had it others not; Moses had it and God used Noah, Aaron, and Miriam to be the examples of faith to follow God’s leading.

Faith is needed for so many even day to day things; including what we are eating is safe to eat, good for what our bodies tell us is needed, focusing on what our bodies and minds tell us versus what other’s opinions try and tell us.

Come this Sunday morning in person at 10:00 am as we gather together to journey with the Hebrew people out of Egypt, as we reflect on our Romans passage about people who judge based on what others eat and make other judgments.

Our doors open at 9:30 am and our service begins at 10:00 am.

See you there!
