Our scriptures for this week provide for us a glimpse of just how much God loved the Hebrew children prior to their exodus out of Egypt, how they were called to praise and worship him, and from the new testament how people of the day were to love one another.

But guess what, that was then and all of those things are still who God is today, what God wants from us today, and what God needs us to do as followers of Christ Jesus to make this world a better place once again.

Come in person this Sunday morning at 10:00 am as we gather together to praise and worship God, a look into the scriptures, share in the passing of the peace, a time of family prayer, and an opportunity to experience receiving communion in a way you may never have received it before.

Communion without any limits or requirements; free to receive it individually, as a couple, a family, or as a group together as perhaps family of choice.

That is the beauty of God’s love for us because God created us all equally and loves each and every one of us.

Our scriptures this week remind us of the depth of God’s love for us and how God uses that love to lead us out of oppression.

Oppression of people comes at the hands of others. Yet freedom and uplifting comes at the hands of others as well.

God used Moses and Aaron to overcome oppression of God’s people during the time of Egyptian enslavement. God used other everyday people throughout the bible to lift up and free others. God is still using people today to lift millions of people out of oppression at the hands of those who come against us.

There are miracles that happen all around us every day; sometimes we recognize them and in other times it is done quietly without fanfare.

Come this Sunday morning in person at 10:00 am as we gather for a time of praise and worship in song, a message, a time of gathering in community for prayer and as we are all invited to come to Christ’s table to receive the sacrament of communion without limit or requirement.

Our scriptures this week remind and clearly show us how God is always at work and how God’s hands (by using the hands of others) are always with us guiding us and moving us in the directions God desires when we are open to receiving God’s direction.

Just like in our Exodus passage; there are times when people come against us; but when we stay connected to God; God does guide us through and out of those situations.

Just as is proven in our Psalm passage for the week and how it happens in our Romans passasge.

Come this Sunday morning in person as we look deeper into these passages and how they can give us insight into our daily lives.

Our scriptures this week speak to us of family, of planning ahead for the future, but most importantly it seems, about living in unity.

The ability to forgive; to accept differing cultures, and recognizing how words often hurt more than we think they might.

No matter what we find ourselves going through; the hand of the Lord is always there. Whether we feel like we’ve been thrown into a deep pit of despair; or sinking in the middle of an ocean of problems.

The hand of the Lord is always present and lifting us up.

Our scriptures this week speak to us of the many different ways God blesses us; sometimes through others, sometimes by making us aware ourselves, and sometimes through other means.

What is significant is that God always blesses us in some way along our journey in life.

We recently received a request to help provide snacks for a retreat camp for people who are living with HIV or who have AIDS.

The congregation said sure and in the matter of a couple of weeks we amasssed all of this. Last week's message was about Jacob's dream of the stairway to Heaven; needs (prayers, requests going up, Angels and resources coming down, being gathered, etc.)

When we put our minds to something, when we put our feet on the treddle, when we chose to live authentically as a positive influence great things happen.

Here is what we've amassed for some truly amazing folks who fight adversity everyday as they live with HIV and AIDS.

Pounds and pounds of Chocolate candy bars
120 bags of microwave popcorn
170 bags of assorted snacks; (chips, cheetos, etc.)
275+ bags of fruit flavored snacks
100+ granola bars
40+ servings of Jello and pudding cups
Bags of Trail Mix
Boxes of Assorted Nut Bars
And so much more...

Last minute purchases (just before camp starts) of fresh fruit like banans, apples, oranges, cuties, grapes will be purchased with some greatly appreciated monetary funds.

Our scriptures this week remind us of how people can find ways to manipulate and deceive us for various reasons. In some instances it isn’t really a deception but more of a cultural difference; in other situations it can be based on greed or other things.

While one of our scriptures for this week show us a side of what many would refer to as deception. The other two scriptures for the week remind us that God’s promises are always true and God never deceives us.

Come this Sunday morning in person at 10:00 am as we look at these scriptures as a reminder of knowing God’s word is always true even when others may deceive us; God never does.
