sggcatholic.org The parish was created on February 9, 1951, by Archbishop James Francis McIntyre. The current church was solemnly dedicated on September 13, 1953 by now-Cardinal James Francis McIntyre. Remodeling and enlarging of the church began in January

1963, and a new rectory was constructed in 1968. Donald Ruddy (then pastor) celebrated his 25th anniversary as a priest. He was made a Monsignor in 1995, and the Msgr. Ruddy Center was constructed the following year. The Perpetual Adoration Chapel was opened in 2003. In 2010, the old convent was refurbished to become the new Faith Formation Center.

Today, our pastor, Fr. Jeff Baker, celebrates his 10th anniversary of his Ordination into the Priesthood.

From celebrating a Rorate Caeli Mass to bringing the Latin Ordinary Form of the Mass, Fr. Jeff continues to bring back desired traditions to our parish.

Thank you Fr. Jeff, for everything you have done to make the parish that all of our parishioners can call home and be proud of.

Please pray for Fr. Jeff as he continues say yes each and everyday to our Lord and pray for more vocations to the Priesthood.

🙏Pray:
Lord, I come to Your tender Heart today, to You who have words that set my heart ablaze, to You who pour out compassion on the little ones and the poor, on those who suffer, and on all human miseries. I desire to know You more, to contemplate You in the Gospel, to be with You and learn from You and from the charity with which You allowed Yourself to be touched by all forms of poverty. You showed us the Father’s love by loving us without measure with Your divine and human Heart. Grant all Your children the grace of encountering You. Change, shape, and transform our plans, so that we seek only You in every circumstance: in prayer, in work, in encounters, and in our daily routine. From this encounter, send us out on mission, a mission of compassion for the world in which You are the source from which all consolation flows.Amen.
