Tomorrow is Baptism Sunday 🌊⁣

One of the beautiful truths about following Jesus is that we find our identity in the life and work of Jesus. One of the ways we make a public declaration of that truth is through baptism, as we mirror Jesus’ death by going under the water and being raised to new life when we come out.⁣
⁣
This is an invitation for anyone who is a follower of Jesus, but has not been baptized. You can just show up tomorrow, no registration needed. We’re excited to celebrate and encourage those in our church taking this step .⁣

One of our end of Summer traditions is the Rack At WACC. The Rack is a beautiful week long event in partnership with local schools and non profits to welcome less resourced families, foster youth, and others in challenging seasons to come for an evening of free back to school shopping, for clothes, shoes, school supplies, haircuts, and a sweet treat all hosted by a team of volunteers treating them as guests of honor.⁣
⁣
Hundreds volunteered throughout the week to set up, host, and then clean it all up, moving thousands of bags of clothing. 964 individuals shopped the Rack this year. All of the items and special touches donated or paid for by your generosity. Thank you for the ways you give and join in the work God is doing at WACC through ministries like the Rack at WACC.⁣

The Creative Team is hosting an interest night this week. If you have ever wanted to join the team and serve through worship, tech (lights, slides), video, or photography this night is for you! ⁣

We’ll have the coffee bar going with some snacks, share a little bit about the role of each part of the team, and see what a Sunday rehearsal looks like. ⁣
