Mary was so filled with grace and so completely surrendered to God’s will that, at the end of her earthly life, Jesus brought His Mother—body and soul—into the glory of heaven.
Proclaimed as dogma by Pope Pius XII in 1950, in the aftermath of two devastating world wars, the Assumption reminds a wounded world of the sacred dignity and eternal destiny of the human body. What God has done for Mary reveals what He desires for us: not destruction, but resurrection; not death, but life with Him forever.
May Our Lady of the Assumption teach us to say “yes” to God as she did. 💙✨

María estuvo tan llena de gracia y se entregó tan plenamente a la voluntad de Dios que, al terminar su vida terrenal, Jesús llevó a su Madre—en cuerpo y alma—a la gloria del cielo.
Proclamada como dogma por el papa Pío XII en 1950, después de dos guerras mundiales devastadoras, la Asunción le recuerda a un mundo herido la dignidad sagrada y el destino eterno del cuerpo humano.
