Despite the heat, we had such a meaningful time together at our Peace Walk through our neighborhood on Sunday 🕊️☀️

We gathered to make colorful signs, then those who were able walked together to Central Park. Under the shade of the trees, we sang songs, shared a quiet moment together, and took time to simply breathe before making our way back.

In the midst of a busy and often overwhelming world, it felt special to slow down for a moment. To feel the breeze, the sunshine, and the presence of one another, while lifting up something we believe is deeply needed right now: a more peaceful world for everyone. 🤍

Thank you to everyone in our community who came out and shared this time with us!

We had an amazing day at the Tiki Time fundraiser supporting our music ministry on Sunday. We enjoyed a delicious three course meal and a delightful show put on by our amazing Friends Choir led by Russ Litchfield. It was really a gift to experience this one! 🌺🥥🌴

Join Quakers from First Friends Church on October 4 for a Peace Walk centered on inner calm, compassion, goodwill, and non-violence. Together, we’ll walk as a visible reminder that peace is something we can practice and share with one another.
