The Middle of Hope had to scavenge for answers tonight!!! From the bottom to the top of the church (over and over 😉), these kids hunted clues with their team and deciphered! At one point, it sounded like a stampede with sixteen kids running and the three adults trying to keep up!!
The point?
Sometimes we have to LOOK in the Word and figure out where to go to FIND our answers!
But it all comes back to, “I am WHO I am!”

This morning the Middle of Hope tested out their ark of bulrushes with baby Moses inside!
Although this looks funny, and a certain teacher may or may not have made a mess……. 😉😂
It has a good meaning.
The mother of Moses had to put Moses in that river without knowing what would happen. She put her all into the water and trusted God…
And the daughter of Pharaoh took Moses in!
The point today? We can trust God with what is most important to us!! He won’t let us drown (although some of the boats the kids made took on water pretty quickly)!

Each middle school student worked on a gift for the Lord last week in Sunday school.
We took a pretty box and wrote down all the things inside we could give to the Lord.
We gave Him praise, worship, time. And those were the easiest, believe it or not!

What was hard to give Him was hurt, pain, sadness, anger, doubt, and unbelief.

We then stood up and stomped these boxes!

The point?
The Lord doesn’t care what our gifts look like, what’s in them, as long as we give it ALL to Him!

So, today, on His birthday, He desires for you to give it all- the good, the bad, and the ugly- the praise and tears, the worship and the pain. He wants every gift so HE can make it good!

This page is dedicated to all things Middle at Hope City!

I’d like to introduce myself!
My name is Danielle Yancey and I am the new Middle School Sunday School and Life Group teacher at Hope City Church!

At 17, I vividly remember not being able to find my way around Bible books, had no idea there were so many John tabs, and I felt out of place in Sunday school and Bible study.
I don’t want anyone to feel like that so I work on everyone having a place in my class- whether you’re loud or quiet- know every story or know no stories- there’s a place for YOU at Hope City (specifically in my class 🙂 )!

I am a wife, mom, and real life middle school teacher (outside of church) 🙂
You will rarely see me sitting down in the classroom or during service… I am loud 90 percent of the time and have no trouble at all having a conversation with people (even if they don’t talk back)!

I’d love to see you at Hope City!!

Service Times:
Sunday School: 10 AM
Sunday Worship: 11 AM
Sunday Night Worship and Celebrate Recovery: 6 PM
Sunday Night: Kid’s Church after worship every service and small groups on the last Sunday of every month (Elementary, Middle, High School)!
Wednesday Night: 7 PM
