Thought this might be helpful. Satan loves to remind us of the scripture out of context. Example he loves to quote Gods ways are higher than ours. He does so to suggest to us that you can’t possibly understand God‘s perspective. He leaves off the scripture we are not to lean on your own understanding. His goal is to led us to confess it is impossible to be brought to understand Gods viewpoint. He even tried this with Jesus as well to encourage Him to violate His own word. The middle temptation “it is written that your feet will not strike the ground. To which Jesus replied you left of the rest, you shall not tempt the Lord. The deceiver was quoting from psalms. Once he convinces us to declare Gods ways are beyond understanding he has set us up to quote it out of context, we find ourselves doing the same thing as we say to others Gods ways are above ours not knowing we have done so. At that point we are deceiving others into believing a lie. When the deceiver says to us, God‘s ways are higher than yours, but fails to mention that we are lean not on our understanding what he has done is to separated or understanding from Gods viewpoint. It is at this point that we begin to talk and separate the two as well. Only when we recognize this, can we truly present the fullness of the gospel. Many pastors are unknowingly doing this day in and day out. Then we wonder why there is no movement within the church. So when we find ourselves saying God does not expect we need to recognize this as Satan suggesting Gods promises are not real and ask ourselves what part has he left off. From the beginning this has been the mode to deceive creation.
