This Sunday we’ll hear about Jesus sending out his followers to do the kinds of things he was always doing: healing and helping, sharing God’s love, and meeting new people along the way! And here’s more good news: Jesus picks US to share in that adventure, too! Get your kids’ sticker to remember that good news too!

Join us tonight for the start of our series of spiritual practices for this summer, which we are calling “The Shaping of Our Hearts”! We begin tonight at 6:30 with “The Art of New Creation” and how we might be attuned to how God makes beautiful things from the things we can only see as useless, unexpected, or damaged. All participants will get one of these journals for keeping your own thoughts, and theres a place for YOU at the table! Sign up at the kiosk, on our website (see the Sign up option from the Get Involved tab on our website) or just join us in person in the Bible Study Room!

God will prove reliable--and therefore, it is worth staking our lives on the promises God makes and orienting our hearts on the priorities God gives to us. We might not be able to guess how God will come through, and God's way of keeping promises might indeed surprise us, but God will prove faithful.

We had a GREAT first Summer Story Hour today, with some returning friends and some new faces, as we sang The Hippopotamus Song and Mighty Mighty Lord, read Creation, and learned about how Christians live, sing, and pray in Fiji!
We also had our first item from the Mystery Bag of Mysteries… this two-part toy whose pieces fit inside each other, like God living in us and us living in God! Join us next week for more fun on Wednesday at 9:30!

Join us TOMORROW night, Wednesday, June 10 for the first of this summer's Spiritual Practices in our 2026 series, "The Shaping of Our Hearts"! This is open to anyone--adults or kids, members or folks from the wider community--all summer long on Wednesday evenings.

Our first practice to explore we are calling "The Art of New Creation," or if you want to be a little more casual, "Spiritual MacGyvering" (remember the TV show from the 80s?). It will be all about ways of seeing new purposes and new direction for things that seemed broken, damaged, or unexpected, and how that might shape our expectations for what God is doing around us all the time! There's a place for you at this event--you can still sign up at the kiosk, use this link from our website, or just join us:

Hey friends!

In this new week, we've got a new episode of our weekly podcast, Crazy Faith Talk, with our own Pastor Steve and colleagues in ministry Sarah Aasheim, Erica Wellner, and Natalie Downs! Listen in here!

When New Testament writers see details from the story of Jesus as "fulfillments" of the Hebrew prophets, should we think of them as predictions? Are they meant to be clues hidden in the ancient writings of the Old Testament, or are the New Testament writers doing something different when they quote the Hebrew Scriptures to point to Jesus? And how can it make us better Bible readers to know the original settings and contexts of those earlier writings when they are referenced or quoted by the New Testament? We'll explore these questions together in this episode of Crazy Faith Talk!

For all the ways we get hung up on religious notions of withdrawing from "the world" and its sinfulness, Jesus himself is much more invested in remaining in touch with the world, despite our dis-ease, precisely in order to heal it.

What Matters Most--June 10, 2026 While [Jesus] was saying these things to them, suddenly a leader came in and knelt before him, saying, “My ...
