Kingdom Life Worship Center Purpose: to empower the people of God with knowledge and understanding of the kingdom of God

Today the Lord reminded me of something powerful while studying the life of Nehemiah.

The title of the message was:
“Don’t talk yourself out of the position God put you in.”

In Book of Nehemiah 1:11 Nehemiah says, “I was the king’s cupbearer.”

Before the burden about Jerusalem ever came…
before the assignment ever appeared…
Nehemiah was already in position.

What he probably didn’t realize was that God had him in that position because the strategy God would give him later required access to the king.

Sometimes we don’t understand why God has us where we are.
It may feel frustrating.
It may not make sense yet.

But what if the position you’re in right now is preparation for the strategy God is about to give you?

And when God gives that strategy, it won’t just bless you — it will create overflow that helps other people too.

Don’t talk yourself out of the position God placed you in.

God may already have you exactly where you need to be.

When the enemy tries to discourage you in your assignment, remind him:
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Don’t give up.
Don’t give in.
Keep pushing.

The very fact that he’s attacking you is proof you’re on the right path.
Rebuke the noise.
Stand in your authority.
Pick yourself up — and go get it.

Today, let’s be great for the Kingdom.
Let’s advance.
Let’s build.
Let’s walk out what God assigned to us.

You were built for this.

1 Kings 12 + Psalm 1

Rehoboam asked for advice, but his mind was already made up. He didn’t want wisdom, he wanted validation. That’s why he ignored the elders and listened to his friends — and it cost him his kingdom.

👉 Sometimes we do the same. We “ask for advice” but really we’re just looking for someone to agree with what we already want to do.

Psalm 1 reminds us: blessed is the one who avoids ungodly counsel and delights in God’s Word. 🌱

Hey fam 👋🏾 I was studying and saw a powerful connection:

Genesis 3 (Eden) – God said don’t eat the fruit. The serpent said you won’t die. They listened, disobeyed, and death came.

1 Kings 13 (Bethel) – God told the prophet don’t eat, don’t drink, and don’t go back the same way. An old prophet lied saying an angel told me you can. He listened, disobeyed, and a lion killed him.

👉 Same pattern: God gave a clear word. Another voice twisted it. Disobedience brought death.

Lesson: God’s Word never changes. Test every spirit (1 John 4:1). And remember—obedience means don’t eat, don’t drink, and don’t go back the same way.

Some of us already know this, but it’s a good reminder—because we never know when someone might try to trick us and catch us off guard. 🙏🏾✨

Kingdom Work vs. Job: Understanding Your True Assignment

Did you know there’s a difference between a job and work?

Many people think they’re the same, but they’re not. A job is what you do to earn a living, but work is your Kingdom assignment—what God created you to do.

Genesis 2:15 – The First Kingdom Work

"The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it." (Genesis 2:15)

The Hebrew word for "work" here is ‘āḇaḏ (עָבַד), which means:
✔️ To Serve (Joshua 24:15) – Work is an act of service to God and others.
✔️ To Cultivate (Proverbs 12:11) – Work is meant to produce growth and impact.
✔️ To Steward (Luke 16:10) – Work is about managing what God has entrusted to you.
✔️ To Worship (Exodus 8:1) – Work, when done for God, becomes worship.

From the beginning, work was never meant to be just a means to survive—it was part of God’s purpose for us!

1 Corinthians 12:4-6 – Different Jobs, Same Kingdom Work

"There are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; varieties of service, but the same Lord; varieties of activities, but the same God who empowers them all in everyone."

✔️ Your talents and gifts come from God (Romans 12:6).
✔️ Your job is a platform for service (Matthew 23:11).
✔️ Your work is empowered by God, not just your own effort (Colossians 3:23).

Biblical Examples of Job vs. Kingdom Work

Daniel’s job was in government, but his Kingdom Work was influencing kings and standing for God (Daniel 6:1-3).

Paul’s job was making tents, but his Kingdom Work was spreading the Gospel (Acts 18:1-3).

Joseph had many jobs (slave, prisoner, ruler), but his Kingdom Work was saving God’s people (Genesis 50:20).

What About You?

Your job is where you work, but your Kingdom Work is why you're there! It’s not about a title—it’s about impact. Whether in business, healthcare, education, or any other field, God placed you there for a reason.

So, how can you use your job as a platform for your true Kingdom Work?

The Power of Planning and Diligence: Proverbs 21:5

"The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty."

This powerful verse reminds us that success doesn’t come by accident. It comes through intentional planning, consistent effort, and unwavering faithfulness in what God has called us to do.

When we approach our goals—whether in finances, relationships, or spiritual growth—with diligence, we align ourselves with God’s principles for abundance and stewardship. But when we act hastily, rushing without preparation or prayer, we often face setbacks and lack.

Today, let’s commit to:
✅ Pray over our plans.
✅ Prepare with intentionality.
✅ Persist with diligence and discipline.

Success is not about quick fixes but about steady, faithful steps. Trust God’s timing and do your part to plan wisely!

How can you start planning diligently this week? Let us know in the comments below!

Don’t Trade Forever for a Moment

In life, we’re often tempted by fleeting pleasures that bring momentary satisfaction. But how often do those temporary choices lead to lasting consequences? God calls us to think beyond the now and to walk in wisdom and self-control.

The Bible reminds us:

"There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death." (Proverbs 14:12)

"Whoever loves pleasure will become poor; whoever loves wine and olive oil will never be rich." (Proverbs 21:17)

"The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty." (Proverbs 22:3)

"Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control." (Proverbs 25:28)

Pause. Reflect. Choose wisely. Your decisions today will shape your future tomorrow. Don’t let a momentary desire rob you of the abundant life God has planned for you.
