We never know what each day will bring, but are so grateful for the blessed hope that we have Jesus! We just learned that Pastor Merrill’s dad, Ted Caviness passed to his rest in Jesus at 7:30 this evening. We just had the Celebration of Life for his wife, Pat, this past Sabbath 10/25/25. While his family was still in town they were able to celebrate his 95th birthday the next day. Little did they realize that was also going to be their goodbye.
He had taken a fall this morning, due to his failing heart. Pastor Merrill had to talk him into going to the hospital where he later died. His faith was strong and he trusted his Lord on the timing. After he fell, he asked the Lord and Merrill to let him pass in peace. It makes us all long even more for that “Great Gettin’ Up Morning!”
Please lift up Pastor Merrill and the rest of the family in your prayers. Merrill and Pam are already on their way up to Sedro-Woolley, WA to be of support to their daughter, Ashley, who is having surgery tomorrow. She would greatly appreciate your prayer support as well.
