I'm happily back home, grateful for God's grace and the loving intercession of Our Lady in all her advocacies Over these 10 meaningful days of pilgrimage, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to get to know my brothers and sisters in faith within my Catholic community even more deeply. I also grew in my spirituality through the breathtaking places where Our Lady has appeared, touching the lives of many with her holiness whenever she makes her presence known. A heartfelt thank you to our dear Father Richard for inspiring us to learn more about our faith and for reminding us to continue loving and caring for each other. I will treasure this pilgrimage and the company of all my fellow travelers, who made these 10 days truly unforgettable. To my beloved, thank you for walking this journey with me and being my lifelong partner. Until our next adventure, God willing, I keep all of you in my prayers.

Pope Leo XIV has released Magnifica Humanitas, the first encyclical of his pontificate—addressing one of the most urgent issues of our time: artificial intelligence and its impact on humanity. Signed on May 15, the same date Pope Leo XIII issued Rerum Novarum in 1891, the document draws a powerful parallel between past industrial upheaval and today’s technological revolution. In it, Pope Leo warns that AI must be “disarmed” of systems that promote domination, exclusion, and even death—insisting it must serve the common good and never be separated from conscience and moral responsibility. The encyclical raises serious concerns about the ethical risks of AI, from exploitative supply chains and violations of privacy to job loss and the growing use of autonomous technologies in warfare. It also calls for greater oversight and global accountability as these tools rapidly evolve. Presented at the Vatican with voices from both the Church and the tech world, Magnifica Humanitas stands as a clear call to responsibility and unity in a new and uncertain era.

God of power and mercy,
you destroy war and put down earthly pride.
Banish violence from our midst and wipe away our tears,
that we may all deserve to be called your sons
and daughters.
Keep in your mercy those men and women
who have died in the cause of freedom
and bring them safely
into your kingdom of justice and peace.
We ask this though Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen
